Fantastic food, very good value for money for the type of food you are eating. The portion sizes are very good as well for the meat.nnThe new location 2-4 doors down from the old location is great.nnService was really good.nnDefo recommendn-ribwichn-ribsn-brisket friesn-brisket slicesnnGenuinely well worth going. Plus nice tea and desserts shops right next door or opposite.nnOnly downfall is parking is a headache. So expect a 5 min walk at least. It’s Ladypool road so parking is terrible
Wow! The meat truly fell off the bone, just as they said it would. This was my first visit to Holy Smokes, and I wish I’d discovered it sooner. The short ribs were perfection—beautifully smoked, tender, juicy, and packed with flavour, with that ideal balance of smokiness and seasoning that every smoked rib should have. The chicken loaded fries were equally amazing and hit the spot perfectly.nnThe experience was made even better when one of the owners came over to say salaam. He was incredibly polite, and our little chat added a lovely personal touch to an already fantastic visit.nnThe restaurant itself is spotless and designed to replicate the authentic Texas smokehouse vibe. I can’t wait to return and try the Ribwich, which I’ve heard is a must-try!nnI also took the owner’s recommendation and tried the Bubblegum Mojito—it was incredible. The flavour was refreshing, and the generous serving made it even better.nnIf you haven’t been yet, stop what you’re doing and head straight to Holy Smokes Birmingham. You won’t regret it!
Such a lovely welcoming place! Food was amazing, the service and attention to detail just fabulous! Great value for money and a brilliant place for a meal and evening out. Highly recommended!
Holy Smokes offers bold flavors and generous portions, but it falls just short of perfection compared to Burnt. The brisket, while tasty and smoky, is slightly harder and lacks the melt-in-your-mouth tenderness of its counterpart. Similarly, the burger’s bun, though decent, doesn’t match the freshness and softness of Burnt’s homemade offering, which affects the overall experience. Despite these minor shortcomings, Holy Smokes delivers satisfying food, and with a few refinements, it could easily reach the next level.
A great meal lovingly made by people passionate about crafting delicious tasting food. It’s a relaxed and welcoming vibe with a really attentive service. There are big portions, make sure you wear stretchy clothes !nnThanks Adnan for a fabulous dining experience!
