Could not recommend Alison from Holroyd & Co solicitors for helping us with the purchase of our first home. It's been very daunting and I have been a nightmare 🙊 but Alison has understood and really has made sure it's gone through as quick and as fast as she could. She has been amazing for us! We've recently purchased a house through this agent and it's been a bit of a painful process. For starters, the viewing rep on our first viewing didn't understand when to stop talking to allow us to actually discuss the house ourselves and divulged information about the vendor which we simply didn't need to know. They also misled us by stating the vendor would not be purchasing another property therefore there would be no chain to worry about, however a matter of days after having our offer accepted they informed us the vendor will now begin looking for somewhere to buy thus slowing down the process and involving us in a chain. On a number of occasions, when asked for an update on the progress, they stated they couldn't get hold of our solicitor, and that they only call solicitors on Wednesdays. When they could provide us with information it was wrong as we had a total different story from our solicitor which turned out to be true. The email correspondence is enormously unprofessional with no greetings, poor grammar and spelling and an utter lack of care. Upon completion, I attended the office for the keys to the property to be handed only a couple of keys, not enough for the full property. I enquired and was told the vendor still had them and would drop them off in a few days. This is after we had completed! 

All in all, a poor experience with an agency who give the impression they just can't be bothered. 

This coming from a ex-estate agent myself, I'd avoid this company if you can. Unfortunately, they were the only ones marketing the property we wanted!

I had Alison Withington and Sarah Ball help me for conveyancing on a local house.  They were prompt, attentive, responsive and thorough. I would specifically recommend them.

Hi ben in touch with this company about a property to let , I asked about there fees and thought they where rather high and outrageous,

I also found the staff to be rather arrogant and patronising ,

I called around other agents about letting and felt companies like Martin and co and oxley property’s and a few others fees where more acceptable and understood my needs more .
