On first visit the staff were friendly and seemed helpful, quickly showing us round the facilities and discussing pricing. They also offered to drop him back off to us 40 minutes away. It was a slight concern that none of the dogs were interacted with on the tour though and how haphazard the discussion around dates and medications was. Also the amount of times they forgot my dogs gender. Communication was poor as on a few occasions we have tried to contact them and left messages only to be contacted back roughly a week later. Upon collecting the dog he seemed happy and well exercised. The problems came when paying. We were told that as we were dropping him off after 11 and collecting him before 11 this would only be charged as one day, however, we were charged the extra day. We were also quoted the price for a medium dog however they insisted on payment for a large dog which he certainly isn’t as a 23.5kg staffie. To further matters they had also increased the price since we left resulting in even higher charges. When we tried to discuss these issues we were met with hostility and instead of trying to reach an understanding we were argued with none stop. Definitely won’t be using these kennels again mainly due to extremely poor customer service and communication. Edit: After discussing this experience with other previous customers I have found others have had similar experiences of being charged for a large breed for Staffies. Allegedly his reasoning was that they are unpredictable and antisocial and stopped himself before saying aggressive. This sort of bias is sad to see. Edit 2: Just been to the vets and apparently the vet doesn’t think the medication was given to our dog. I thought it was strange we weren’t given back any of his medication.
Cannot fault - they very succesfully looked after our four labradors for 10 days - not only fed, exercised and watered but also medicine administered to three of them. They came back very shiny! Thank you from Mollie, Bailey, Jeff and Brian
Been using Holme from Home for years with our two dogs, they get excited when they get there and love every visit. Our old boy has recently gone blind and he still comes home happy as Larry after a stay. Would 100% recommend to everyone.
We dropped of our little 4 month old pup for a week and a day and asked for her to be washed before pick up, when we returned and went to collect her she was spotless and the fuss she made of us was lovely. She also made a fuss of the lady owner who brought her out of the kennels just before we left. Would recommend this kennels and will use them again if needed.
Amazing place, best kennels we've taken our dogs to. Always fit us in at short notice even my dad's as an emergency. Amazing care and service. Oscar loved going for a little holiday here. 5 star

absolutely amazing kennels and brilliant staff. I would highly recommend them to anybody, it's the first time our boy has been in kennels so understandably we were worried about it. the worries disappeared immediately the staff were more than happy to give us updates on our teddy whilst we were away and even sent pictures of him when he was out on one of his walks with other dog's and he looked liked like he was absolutely loving his time there. When we collected him he was as clean as he was when we dropped him off and smelt just as he did when we'd left him there, as we drove off the car park he even started crying bless him and he's been flat out asleep since we've got him back so they've certainly tired him out with his walks. again if you want a kennels where you can have peace of mind about your pooch then this is the place! we will have absolutely no hesitations on leaving him here again!

Without a doubt 5 star!!!!! I go here for hydro with my lumpy labrador and see Becci who is amazing with my over enthusiastic swimming lab!!! A beautifully family run business where you really are treated as an "old friend" I haven't had to leave my dog in kennels but if I had to this would be the ONLY place I would leave my dog because I know he would get 5 star care!! The facilities are second to non and as stated run by a kind and caring family who genuinely put the dogs first. Beautiful surroundings and amazing people. Be sure your dog will be treated like one of the family here!!!
