A nice large place with lots of entertainment. Pool tables available. Arcade games available. Sadly we waited quite a while to be served for a lane. Considering it wasn't busy we were quite surprised and almost left. The bowling lanes themselves are quite small in length being around 30 feet long instead of the usual 60 feet. The pins are also held up by strings. We also found out with a casual shrug that hot chocolate was off the menu as no milk. Despite it being a week day customer service should still be 100%, not 50%.
App didn't work so had to pay the full price and not offer price. It was also my birthday which I was if I read it right should have had birthday offers but didn't get. When I went to pay none of the tills were working so had to rely on a bit of till roll as a booking. However once we got to play we did have a good game.
I really loved this place ! I know it’s a bit pricey but I’ve never played bowling so I didn’t mind as I wanted to try it really bad. There was a good amount of rounds so I think it was worth it overall
The place always seems to be under refurb. Not sure what's being done at the moment. The guy on reception was amazing, lovely bloke and managed to squeeze us in on a lane last minute. Still not sure how I feel about pins on strings either, sometimes some fall when they really shouldn't. That aside, good custom options for players on the lane, reasonable priced drinks, clean and tidy on the lane.
I came here for a friends birthday and no person can say that its not bright and bubbly when you walk through the doors. As for the staff some of them could be a little more friendly. The slushie bars were closed when I came in and the way you customize whether you have rails or not could be a bit more explained to the customers. Overall I had a good time and will be returing soon :
Always fun at Milton Keynes Hollywood bowl especially as I only ever get into it after the 2nd game. Can't go wrong here, something for everyone and good fun. Serive friendly and easy to book in advance on line.
Was a alright visit. Only went to play some pool whilst kids were at gravity. Waited around 10 minutes for a free table and was a pleasant experience. A lot of teenagers having fun which was nice to see.
Do not get a drink in a glass from the bar. They do not clean the glasses. Absolutely disgusting. The length of time you have to wait for a drink is insane as well. Waited half an hour for 3 people to be served. When the manager asked the bar staff if they were alright they said they were. Not sure what bar the manager was looking at but it wasn't the same bar I could see, they clearly couldn't handle it.
The food was below par but the staff were friendly though considerably stretched and obviously short staffed for a Saturday lunchtime. No VIP difference from ordinary lanes. The change machine broke and there was no change to play arcade games. And calling them on the phone to add or amend my booking because of long waiting times on the phone and sometimes not being answered has left me being charged £29.46 on top of my usual telephone Bill. The call back option didn't work either. So not entirely happy. The 3 star review is not a one star simply because I feel for the staff. I will go back but will not eat there or call them on the phone, ever!
We went here but didn't bowl, we just explored the machines and games. Lots of arcade games, air hockey etc. Some gave tickets as you played, which you can exchange for prizes. Some were just for fun, like air hockey. Pricey as most were £1 a go at least.
