Service is great. The room was clean but had a strong cleaning smell which was too much for us, that's why it's a 3 stars. Breakfast is standard British with waffles. Location is a little outside of downtown but great for a stay prior to going on a cruise, that's why a 4 for location. Good value for the money.
My husband and I stayed here for one night. The location is a bit outside of Southampton but right near the M27. The hotel had a large car park, but paid separately.nCheck in was smooth and quick. The room was clean and spacious enough for us. I chose the hotel based on wanting air conditioning in the summer, and it was good and working well.nWe had to leave early the next morning so we didn’t get to have the breakfast that was included.nStaff were friendly.
Had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express! Easy online booking and excellent customer service—staff were really helpful when I needed to amend my booking. Check-in was smooth, the hotel was clean and quiet, and the bed was super comfortable.nnBreakfast was lovely with plenty of options—cereals, pancakes, full English, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and juices. The restaurant menu is limited and a bit pricey, but perfect if you’re too tired to go out. There’s also a nice bar area with sofas and a TV to relax in the evening.nnThere’s a small indoor play area for kids TV and toys, but no outdoor space for them to run around. Parking is £7 a day. Great location—close to shops and only 20 minutes from Paultons Park.nnWould definitely recommend for short stays!
Stayed here for one night for work. The room was clean and generally well presented bar one big red stain on the floor, the hotel feels overall well maintained, the breakfast was good and had a decent selection for being included in the price, the staff all seemed nice and welcoming. You do have to pay £7 for the car park, which does feel like a cash grab which is a shame, this should be refundable if you are staying at the hotel - for me it gets refunded on expenses but if I was paying out of my own pocket then I would have been a bit annoyed. Overall good stay though.
We stayed here because we were going to watch cricket in the Utilita Bowl.nCheck in was easy, room was spotless, had everything we needed including USB sockets and was quiet. Free breakfast was a bonus and very good, then it was literally 2 minutes to the cricket gate and or car could stay in the car park for 24 hours from arrival!nDefinitely recommend and will definitely do the same again next time we come down.
