We had a great time there. The caravan was spotless and home from home. It was very spacious and well equipped. The pool is good, so is the gym not massive but hey it's a holiday! The staff are really friendly and professional. The restaurant is good, the food, is pub food but perfectly adequate. Nice for a drink on any case. It is close to everything really. We used it as a base and wondered the Jurassic coast.
The pools are incredible! We had such hot weather that it felt like we could have been abroad. There are outdoor play facilities for kids and one evening there was an outdoor screening of Encanto which we all loved. Will be visiting here again for sure. Only negative is that the static caravans are quite close together and therefore not much space or privacy but apart from that, superb!
Loved it with my family and our toddler! The swimming pool indoors is great and lots to do! Prices in the restaurant are also reasonable. You don't have to wear wristbands and can go in the pool anytime without a slot.
Booked direct with Bashley although there are privately owned caravans to choose from! Arrived, booked in & given keys & map to a dog friendly Classic Plus Caravan which was quite easy to find! Caravan had wrap around enclosed decking! Inside was very clean & tidy & quite spacious, bedrooms were big enough for what they're used for.... sleeping in! One main bathroom & ensuite in main bedroom, kitchen diner, included plenty of cupboards, cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster, cutlery & utensils. Sachets of tea, coffee & powdered milk also provided! Sturdy table with bench seats in the dining area. Lounge area very spacious with 32" TV, modern fireplace, central heating in every room. French doors lead out to the decking at the front of the caravan with patio table, 4 chairs & umbrella. Main door is allocated down the side of the caravan. Car parks are allocated at the end of the row of caravans. Car's are not allowed to park next to the caravans. The clubhouse has plenty to do for all ages, dogs allowed inside but only on the hard floor area! Had the bonus appearance of Joe Pasquale who was very funny! Highly recommend Hoburne Bashley!
A shout out for Jasmine from my wife Vivien, for informing us of the owners breakfast held on Saturday the 30th of June. The staff at the Bashley site are super helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The outside space available is extensive, a very well-maintained 9-hole golf course, an outside swimming pool for the summer, indoor pool, gym. Excellent entertainment acts and in-house team that try their best . The cafe menu is good too. No hooligans on this site, very much family oriented. We have been here 6 years now.
Excellent base to explore the New Forest on s self catering basis. Booking, payment and access all problem free and facility was spotless and well equipped. A public WiFi is available, but it could be more reliable. Recommended.
Giving this 4 stars as it was an ideal short break for our family of 4. The caravan had everything we needed for sleeping, eating and sufficient space in the living room. Could happily sleep and cater for 6 at a squeeze plus two extra guests if needed. Caravan was cleaned to a high standard. Missing 1 dining chair out of 6 and had a nice outdoor seating area. Lots of cupboards for storage. Entertainment up to and on NYE was okay. Had everything needed for the kids, softplay, arcade, but I found it all on the small side and not a lot of choice e.g 2p machines with Maoams or tickets as prizes which take forever to collect when they could have had 10p machines with better prizes. Kids also handling 100’s of 2p’s then eating the sweets can’t be good for germs. The free Swimming pool was quite small and none of these were over crowded. I can imagine it might be through the summer but the outdoor pool would also be open. Had a nice, Jacuzzie in the pool and on the side a Sauna and steam room. Hydro ball was £5 per go. I’ve known this to be free at bigger pools. The live entertainment was exciting and very engaging. The mascots/characters were supposed to be around at a reduced amount but we didn’t see any on the 3 nights we were there. We were told there would be fireworks for NYE which is why we booked but on the day we found out there weren’t any and Bournemouth down the road didn’t either so we watched Big Ben live on TV at the event. The night was good and everyone just about had a seat in the cafe area as the main venue had a private event on. A family we let on our table had sat themselves in the private event as they had no idea and nearly missed our NYE event. There wasn’t much to do outdoors especially as it was raining most of the time. The woods was quite a small walk and didn’t lead on to new forest which we expected. There wasn’t any group activities on at this time. We bumped into a family 3 times walking in opposite direction within 20 minutes as they couldn’t find the gate to get out of the woods. The kids free park had hardly anything for them just a few tiny obstacles no swings or slide etc. there was a skyline obstacle which kids 4 and up can use no problem but we were told we had to pay as they needed a harness. It was about 2 to 3 foot off the ground. The only thing left to do was pottery and painting which was £10 for pottery, £5 for paint pouring and £10 for something else. The woodcraft centre during this time was closed. The shop had very low stock and was overpriced. There was a Londis about a mile down the road which was fully stocked. New Forest isn’t too far but during this time a lot of it was flooded. The caravan park was easy to get around whether walking or driving and had sufficient parking for 1 to 3 cars depending on which caravan you had. Seemed to be very dog friendly too. Overall it was really nice. The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. Really positive vibes from everyone else there. Could leave your clothes and bags on a chair then go for a swim without having to worry about it. They used to be closed for the winter so I can imagine they will improve what they have for the winter months. The price for the caravan was good but I’m not sure if it will go up through summer. I would like to try again in summer especially as the coast isn’t far at all. If planning to go and only stay on the site I would recommend it for a little break away but it’s very limited to what you and the kids can do.
Great place for a break in the New Forest. Good standard of accommodation and amenities are decent. Staff are very helpful and any issues in my experience were addressed quickly.
Lovely clean caravan park with spacious caravans and great facilities. The NYE celebration was great with live music and dancing etc. Would recommend
A lovely caravan park, even in January. Fantastic caravan, great cafe and arcade area, even dedicated dog area. Would highly recommend. Dog-friendliness: Don't charge extra for dogs, huge bonus in costs
