My wife and mother went at the weekend and there was an issue with the hot water for the pool and they were cool in temperature. No formal apology, no offer to re book and no phone call in advance to warm them so they could cancel and re book when they had sorted the temperature of the pools. Completely poor service. They travelled 150 round trip for this. We will find a better spa resort next time, although this was their 6th visit to this place.

Attended Hoar Cross for afternoon tea. Lovely selection on sandwiches and cakes as well as a great choice of teas to choose from. Only thing we wasn't keen on was it being served in their lounge/ bar area. We were sat around a low coffee table on sofas. The coffee table was covered with a linen table cloth but would have much prefered to be seated at a dining table. Over all experience was enjoyable.

There were mistakes made with treatment times that took the shine off the stay but sometimes mistakes are inevitable. What is important is how well the management respond and this was creditworthy. All the staff were very helpful throughout the stay The guest room we were in was in need of refurbishment, but this didn't detract to much from the overall experience. The treatments and Spa team were very good, as were the number of different facilities in the spar area. The food for breakfast and evening meal was excellent. The main reason for the 3 stars is due to the apparent disconnect between the Spa booking system Main Reception. Overall, yes, I will be returning in the future.

The food is very good. 
The place is obviously historic, but unfortunately looking a little tired in some areas. The facilities and staff are all excellent. 
The gardens are beautiful too.
The location is very good too. 
Great for getting into Lichfield for a morning visit and an afternoon in the spar. 
Expensive place though. 
I have given 4 stars. 
For 5 it needs a bit of cosmetic wear taken care of. Mainly referring to bathrooms bringing up to date etc ...
The place is so big, it would possibly cost millions. 
Otherwise Highly Recommended.

Lovely location. Food was excellent as was the service in both the restaurants we used. Spa facilities are very good.  Only missed a 5 star as confusion over our booking and some staff's response to problem solving wasn't ideal. Dealt with well when spoke to manager. Would certainly return.
