Put a claim in for a tax refund and only received a tiny amount back. So I made an official complaint and heard nothing for over a month & made contact with them on twitter. Within 30 minutes a really nice guy called David called me up and explained why it was such a small amount to prevent me going on an emergency tax code and that I was entitled to a bit more. He was really pleasant, experienced and made me feel at ease. I have therefore revised my review.
Have been trying to get hold of these people for weeks. They keep you hanging on the phone for hours or tell you that they are very busy and we should expect to be kept waiting for an hour or more. It’s ridiculous!! They are very quick and prompt when they want money from you. What sort of service are they offering. Get new efficient people to work for HMRC. Sent them an email. No luck. Advised to phone them!!!!
Been trying for 3 days to speak to someone...anyone and even though they are meant to be open till 8 they are closed before 7!! Meant to be open on Saturdays when they are not! They are trying to fine me for not paying tax when I've told them 4 times I wasn't working when they think I was! Totally useless.
Spent forever on hold, person eventually answered and said they would transfer my call to the correct team. Transferred to a number no longer in use! Disorganised, frustrating and clearly not fit for purpose.
My partner called yesterday the lady wasn’t interested was condescending and rude not interested in helping tried talking over myself and my partner then put the phone down on us they are incompetent what do you expect though if you owe money we want it now but if they owe money it can wait.
I have called yesterday and after 1 hour on hold managed to talk to someone. Today I called again as some info not clear, after 1hour 14 minutes on hold... Thank you for calling us.. Call ended
If there were ZERO stars, that is what I would give. Totally ignorant, unprofessional and convoluted phone and online login system. NO interest whatsoever on helping an individual.
Hmrc is a joke, Have been waiting over 2 months to resolve a simple login problem while my Self Assessment late fee piles up because of this.
No StaRS 1 1HR 45 MINS AND GOT DUMPED TO START AGAIN
Bad customer service...why do employees work in jobs they hate? If you do work in customer service, act like it! I am not calling HMRC because of fun or because I want to hear a "fortune teller"...not happy and not impressed at all!
