We had Harry & the Team in today attending to our 125+ yr old 23.5mtr high Wellingtonia. The tree, due to the lack of care and attention in its formative years had got totally out of shape and following discussion with Harry post storm Arwen has, in our view, successfully transformed it back to it’s natural form. Not only does Harry have a passion for his trade but his attention to safety, his interaction with his customer and the tidiness of his work is in my view second to none. There must have been 7 ton plus of material that came off our tree today and you wouldn’t even know the team had been here. I told Harry that he’s left my property tidier than what it was before the work started. I would unreservedly recommend HL Tree Services to any prospective customers.

Harry, George and team were excellent. They did a fantastic job of removing a much overgrown tree and cleared up after they had finished. They were very professional and had a great manner too. They were a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend them.
First off, they responded quickly to my request for a quote, whereas several other firms just ignored me. They kept in touch and arrived as promised, and did an excellent job of re-pollarding 2 trees. Hard working, very professional, and they tidied up properly too. Highly recommended and sensibly priced too.
We have had Harry and his team cutting our hedges and trees for many years and we are always extremely pleased with the work. All the men are lovely and ensure that we are pleased with their work. We would give them more than 5 stars if it was possible.
HL Tree Services felled two large failing conifer trees, a large area of scrappy bushes at the back of the garden and trimmed a large front hedge for me in late May 2022. Harry and his team were terrific and an absolute pleasure to have to my home. They undertook the work professionally, all to extremely high standards. My partner and I are absolutely delighted with the finished result leaving us with several exciting options for re-landscaping. The team respected the garden and extensive lawn, protecting the area at all times during the work, and left the area tidier than how they had found it! Everyone was courteous and friendly throughout the work. HL Tree Services are a real jewel of a find in Fife, providing the highest of professional standards at a competitive price, which is hard to find these days. Thanks too to George in the office who kept me informed at all stages from initial site visit to completion of the job. I highly recommend Harry and his team and would definitely have them back again for any future projects.
We requested a quote for pruning a cherry tree and Harry came 3 days later. He was very friendly and professional. After carefully assessing the tree he advised against pruning because the tree wasn’t diseased. He told us that cherry trees didn’t tend to respond well to pruning and although there were some issues with the tree these might not be helped and the tree might not look so good after pruning. We decided to accept his advice and he offered to come back if we changed our minds. We appreciated his honest opinion. He didn’t make any charge for this visit.

If you are looking for a tree surgeon look no further than HL Tree Services. Harry and his Team provided a thoroughly professional package for our project, which included the removal of six very mature trees and tree stumps. The quote for the work required was competitive and throughout the assignment the Team were proficient, hard-working and followed safe working practices. All team members communicated well and were polite and friendly. On completion of the works the site was fully reinstated and all waste material removed. We would highly recommend the services provided by HL Tree Services. Our assignment was well executed, and we would have no reservation in using the company again for any future work.
