Trains more regular than busses around here, and where as the bus is over an hour to Bournemouth, the train is less than 20 minutes. There are now 2 ticket machines (both on platform 1, London bound) and only one of them takes cash. The ticket office is so rarely open, but the staff here are pleasant and helpful. The new ticket machine does have a video chat function for help and advice, but you will have a minute or so to wait to be answered. I have made it known to SWT and National rail that the area around the station is littered with old bits of rail equipment, general litter and even the old BIKE SHED!! and a year on nothing has been done, which is despicable for a well used and lively little station.

Its a good train station just not very active and the train comes once an hour.
