Story

Highland Park House is a beautiful Victorian Gothic mansion overlooking Kirkwall and the world famous Highland Park distillery. We offer luxury B&B, and beautiful rooms for special occasions. Creative arts courses run throughout the year, including Midsummer Midnight Sketching in June when the sun never sets.We also offer creative writing and theatre performance workshops, and host events for several of Orkney's cultural festivals including the Storytelling Festival and the St Magnus Festival. This historic house includes a large art studio, gallery, studio theatre and library as well as luxury guest accommodation. This is a unique creative retreat, offering first class tuition led by qualified tutors amid the stunning setting of Orkney. Highland Park House can also accommodate creative arts groups and individuals wishing to work away from home, developing new projects or ideas in our studio or theatre.
