If I could give it less than a 1 star, then I would. Best word to describe the room I stayed in is grubby. It needs a good scrub and dust. Multiple old cobwebs, coffee cup stains on the welcome pack, toilet brush no where near clean, bath mat covered in stains, dirty stains on the wall by the bin, dust and build up on the carpet, Multiple hairs and stains on the sheets, bathroom facilities are poor and the bed was an old spring mattress that was so uncomfortable. Some of these problems can be easily fixed and wouldn't cost a lot. It's so frustrating when places like this fail on the simple things. Won't be recommending to any one.

Could do with a little bit of work on the inside decor as it's looking a bit tired in places. But the welcome is warm and genuine, and the carvery is great value for money. Two carvery main courses, a glass of wine and a soft drink for £25 total is hard to beat. Carvery meat portion was generous and it was well cooked (not well done) with stacks of vegetable choices available.

They ruined our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Booked in advance for 11 adults & 2 grandchildren but no carvery due to burglary they said when we arrived (no prior notification) but main menu was all available. Took 2 hours for 2 courses half of which was not available, basic ingredients missing ie, chilli, peppers & onions which they had not got and which after we complained we found out was food from Asda bought that morning after the area manager insisted they open. Emailed them a complaint and they thanked me for my feed back and said we had complimentary food and drink. We refused to pay for food and they were so unorganised even the bill for our drinks was wrong which we were happy to pay and told them we would. No wine list to be had, glasses odd sizes and wet. Not one person said congratulations to us or have given us a sincere apology. We can never get back our special anniversary but I bet they would have got a full recompense for food and business lost through their insurers. Save your money and go elsewhere. Had to give 1 star to post review otherwise would have been none.
