We refuse to use this car park anymore. The smell of urine is overwhelming, it’s filthy and we were greeted by a used sanitary towel on our last visit. It’s been awful for years and you can tell a deep clean hasn’t been done for as many years. What an embarrassment to have this as our local multi story for visitors to the city, I’m sure it’s put many off coming back.
The car park had a really unpleasant smell in one corner, and it's clear it needs some serious maintenance. To top it off, only one lift was working during my visit, which was quite inconvenient overall. The stairs pathways seemed messy . Apart from all this, you have got plenty of spaces.
Convenient car park for the main shopping in Chelmsford city centre. Well signposted, but a bit of a drive from the northbound A12.nThis car park is well lit and has ANPR for parking time and accepts cards for ease of payment. contact less
There are no signs on the road or entrance for motorcycle parking. The attendant was very helpful though I couldn't access the motorcycle parking due to people camping there. I know motorcycles park for free, but that doesn't mean we should have to put up with this. Generally the car park is filthy, poorly maintained, lacks proper signage and absolutely stank of human waste. I wouldn't park here again.
High Chelmer Car Park is disappointing. While the ticket machines and barriers have been renovated and work well, the rest of the facility is poorly maintained.nnThe cleanliness is unacceptable; the lifts and stairwells are grimy and clearly lack regular upkeep. Navigating the levels is also a struggle because the signage is inadequate for a multi-story car park of this size. It is frustrating to pay for parking in a facility that feels so neglected.
