Popped in to check this pub out and decided to have some lunch. Great food. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. Garden area needs weeding let's this pub down and looks bit unkempt and might put people off. But don't be put off, do go in it a lovely place to eat.

A real gem of a country pub. The quality, freshness and preparation of your food is the highest standard. I love your pretty location and warm, welcoming ambience. Brilliant staff who are very polite and engaging. Thank you for a wonderful bank hols lunch experience.

Six of us celebrating our birthdays have just had an amazing Sunday Roast. Chicken was so tasty and moist, as was the Beef and Pork roasts. Apple crumble was delicious, just perfect. Had a most enjoyable Sunday lunch. This restaurant was recommended to us by two separate friends and it certainly did not disappoint. Would definitely recommend.

Good beer but I find the food a little pretentious. I do not believe myself to be a meat and 2 veg type but neither do I want anyone using my food to make works of modern art on my plate so that the individual (and always relatively small) portion goes cold before I have a chance to eat it. Don't misunderstand me the food is good quality and well prepared but I would just prefer mine to be placed on the plate and I do not need a trail of chocolate sauce over my creamed potato and steak.

Went here on a Sunday for an early lunch. The service was friendly but the food took ages to come out. However we weren't disappointed- it was definitely one of the better Sunday roasts I've had in a while. Would definitely go back.
