After being closed for a long two years, the fish bar has reopened as Batter & Fry and being run by a friendly couple. I popped in for a mid-week treat for my son which past the taste test with flying colours.  My husband and I returned on Friday to have fish & chips. The fish was fresh and nicely battered, the chips were tasty and the potion size was spot on. We will be returning next week.  Great value and a great meal. I would highly recommend!!!

Super lovely people in the shop! I live up north but was visiting a friend for the weekend and asked if they might do scraps/bits. They said they don't but when I popped into a shop down the road while waiting for my food to cook and then came back in, they had saved some for me! The haddock and chips were very fairly priced and super tasty, proper fish and chip shop chips! Thank you!

Great service: friendly and accommodating. Fish and Chips taste bland, just like frozen fish from any other fish and chips shop. Chips were oily and dry at the same time: lacking of texture and flavour.

We had Friday night fish and chips from Batter Fry which opened recently. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious and great value.

Crikey! Wowzer! Fantastico!who would of thought this gem was hiding at the end of my high street. Favourite fish and chip shop by a country miles. Completely obliterates the competition with great prices and equally outstanding taste.

Good fresh fish and good chips, for a good price. There is some seating and tables here if you need to eat in but it's more of a take out place.

Chips were okayish, fish smelled like burnt plastic and didn't taste much better.
