Came here for a Sunday lunch. The food was amazing, service was prompt and friendly and at a great price too. The bar area was warm and welcoming and as it was Christmas time the decoration looked great.. Apparently the owners haven’t been here long, but already made it their own and lots of smiling faces everywhere so credit to them. Definitely Will be eating here again, might just be my new local. Well done

Spoke to Sian about booking a table for a surprise birthday drinks and she was super helpful as they don’t usually take bookings just for drinks. When arrived our table was occupied, they also had kindly booked the pool table for us. As their was a slight wait the both tables they generously gave us £5. Would come again thank you :

Hen house is a cozy pub which can provide pool and darts, sometimes live music, however.. tonight me and a large group of friends decided to come to hen house for some pool and a drink. All being 18+ we went to the bar as a collective. May i say the man who I believe to be a manager or owner was amazing giving us stamps so we don’t need to be continuously ID. The young lady with glasses was also good as she was genuinely understanding for our Christmas Eve “eve” gathering. £5-10 is ridiculous for darts tho… however, the young lady with the curly- ish hair..She needs ID training  this girl don’t get me wrong, was lovely. However, disappointed that one of my friends felt so upset he left the pub after his real driving licence was denied twice and a drink taken off of him… if it was really that fake why not remove the ID? And the reasoning “I can’t see your face beneith the hologram below the face photo isn’t cause for a fake ID.. a removable hologram ontop of the visible facial image or a bold lettered name or DOB is as somebody who is trained : Furthermore, another friend’s driving liscence was also denied but instead we took this further to the lovely Owner who then approved it which we were satisfied about as this friend was 18 about 4 weeks ago and was also more than mortified he was accused of a crime which he didn’t commits As many of our friend group being bar staff, we can recognise the difference between and real and fake ID, which the hen house bar staff apparently cannot. We also had regulars tell us that this is an common occurance and the staff clearly don’t know the real difference between fake and real as they’ve seen fakes been approved previously not sure if it was before the new owners. Considering my two friends ID were very much real and they were left to feel isolated and humiliated this is highly disappointing and will leave a large group of people not to be returning. Please ID train your staff.. and credits to the manager/ owner on shift tonight as you clearly recognised your +18 custom and gave us hope that hen house would be a safe and recognisable place to drink again. ID training or buying ID scanners is simple but effective. Please take this into consideration.

Popped in to watch the England game great pub for live sport. Also ordered a burger which tasted nice and was great value. Great service. The pub has a great back room area with dart boards and 2 pool tables as well. Nice pub worth a visit.

Went Thursday night. Great Karaoke with Rick doing the DJ. Staff great and freindly..Good crowd in as well. Thanks to Cath and Rick brilliant Hosts
