Fantastic stay at hedgehog meadows. The cottage is lovely. Really well equipped, comfy and cosy. It's an ideal spot for being close to so many great places to visit. Fantastic big garden, ideal for the kids and the dogs. Super helpful and friendly host. Wish we could stay longer, will definitely be back!
Comfort, peace and quiet, overlooked only by cattle, sheep, goats and horses in the adjoining fields. A lovely warming welcome with tea/coffee/toast/soft drinks waiting to be enjoyed. Hosts were very friendly and lovely people to talk with and to. Ollie, the Bichon thug, enjoyed stretching his legs in the paddock, and lying under the bunks at night. Our third time and most definitely will be back next year. Plenty to see and do, both around and about and if you stay in, games/tv/DVDs/stereo/BBQ to enjoy. Always top marks.
Got back from our stay at hedgehog meadows yesterday and we already want to go back! The cottage was amazing. There was everything we needed. Nice big tv in the living room with DVD player and also another one in the bedroom. There are loads of DVDs, tourist books and leaflets and indoor and outdoor games for you to enjoy. There was so much to look at inside and its very well looked after. We were amazed as it's loads better than the pictures! There is a nice big garden as well with bbq and firepit. Neighbours are sheep, horses and goats. The owners were very nice and came to check on us on our last night. The cottage is very quiet. It's also in a great location. Lots to do nearby. Easy access to lake district and Scotland. We had a great day exploring Dumfries and Galloway. Would highly recommend this cottage and it's defo one we will stay in again! Could quite easily live there! Couldnt fault it at all!
The place to be to wind down and chill out. Great hosts, the cottage is brimming with character and everything you could wish for is here. I will definitely be coming back.
A beautiful well equipped lodge with everything you need and more. Real attention to detail from the owners and a welcome environment the moment you walk through the door. 100% coming back.Rooms: 5/5
Very warm welcome found here excellent place to stay. Fantastic facilities very comfortable accommodation excellent place for the lakes and the coast.
