Only had a pattie this time but I could see the quality of the food & it all looked lovely. You can see straight into the busy kitchen & the service at this place was pleasantly good! No sour faces behind the counter, no rude comments from staff, quick & efficient as it should be. Place very busy & vibrant. Pattie was on point! Would definitely visit next time I am in the area.
I can never stop eating at Healthy Eaters. The food is great, the staff is adorable and there is a fantastic atmosphere in there. If you want to have good tasting well done, well presented food stop over to healthy eaters. I love it! I guarantee you will love it too!!Food: 5/5
Review for the patties as they were excellent in flavour, flake and essence. Yesterday I bought 2 beef patties, I was impressed to find that these didn’t just taste of basic dough flour and no meat. The flake was perfect, the size of patties was decent and the meat was pack with a punch of spice and flavour it was so tasty. The patties were also warm and ready to go without having to reheat them. Patty display was packed which sort at first made me hesitate to buy, thinking maybe they weren’t that good but up to Jamaican standards it was very up there. Definitely would buy from here again, I highly recommend
Listen…. Do your self a favour and meet the wonderful owner and his family. This place it’s 100% vibes great food great staff everything. Don’t get me started on the jerk chicken and peas and rice ‍‍‍ absolutely delicious. All the way from Australia I’m delaying my flight home so I can get one more meal. I USED to LOVE this place. Food always was delicious, tasting like it was cooked with care with the finest ingredients. It was very flavourful, not really oily like some West Indian restaurants or boney pieces with no meat and cooked down for a long time so the meat fell off the bone. I moved away from London 3 years ago, but went there on the 23rd December 2023 to treat myself to 2 small meals to take away: a curry goat & rice & peas & an oxtail & rice & peas prices have gone up, so this cost me £20 - as the small meals were £10 each. I received 2 curry goat meals. One of them was half white rice & half rice & peas, as if they wanted to finish what they had. There was a large hard bit of rice, like the bottom of the pot. The meat was full of fat, any bits that were there were so TOUGH it was impossible to eat. I decided to just eat some rice & gravy - then I found a HAIR in it, so I threw it away. I hate to waste money or food, so tried the other meal thinking I had an oxtail - but that's when I discovered I'd been given 2 curry goats. It was the same thing - and 2 HAIRS in the food! Hygiene and cooking has seriously gone downhill. Alarm bells should have been ringing when I went in, there was no queue for the hot food - but a large queue where the patties are. I usually love their patties - but this experience has put me off - as I would literally throw up if I was eating a pattie and found hairs. Because they were in my meal, I saw them, so they didn't go in my mouth - thank goodness. I will never go there again and I had been a loyal customer for years. My advice would be to save your money and go elsewhere. Gross.
What a nice and trendy restaurant located in Brixton Row! Their Jerk chicken is top notch !! The owner and their staff are super friendly ! Definitely will be again to try some other dishes too !!highly recommended.Food: 5/5
I had small meal box for £10, red bean rice with one choice of meat jerk chicken, add extra fee for salad. The food is so yummy, sauce and portion are all perfect, just right amount of rice to meat. I’d love to re-visit next time. Only thing lacking a bit is service, I was standing there without anyone serving for a good few minutes.
So I came to show my French hubby what London food is all about. I couldn't take him saying that British food is bad. So for our wedding anniversary, I brought him to London on an eating spree and I of course HAD to show him some authentically delicious Jamaican food. My my my. We took one oxtail meal for 2 because we'd had like 5 meals before but it was SO good that I wouldn't have minded having a second plate for myself Yep it was THAT good. The service and atmosphere was chill and friendly . Thank you so much!
NOT DINE IN As a tourist in London, we came here to dine in. Google lists this place as a dine in/take out establishment but there was no seating when we visited in Sept 2024. We had saltfish and beef patties which were good.
