Katie has been extremely kind & considerate and very much helpful in her role. Highly responsive and helpful staff in general. Thank you so much.
A group of young lads late teens to mid 20s, using computers near me were swearing, shouting, leaping around the tables and generally carrying on. Very noisy. Couldn't concentrate on my studies. I felt intimidated by them. Staff and security just ignored the unruly youths. Not good.
I went here to study in my final term of university only to be harassed by a drunk older man im a young girl . He pulled a chair up right against me and rubbed his arm against me. He told me he was trying to make me uncomfortable. The staff saw what was going on and did nothing, I called out to them and I was met with silence. Why do you have a security guard if they’re not going to step in in these situations?
Really good service staff are really nice and helpful but the printer always doesn’t work
The facility itself is alright, but sometimes the staff speak SO loudly and incessantly- isn’t a library supposed to be quiet? It’s not even like they were taking calls, it was just random conversations with each other. There should be a quiet zone or something at least
Buzzing place and very helpful people dealing with the Christmas cards, however, queues for the post office bit with only two tills open.
I feel the children’s section doesn’t have enough books and variety of books. I didn’t use any of the other services but I can tell there are many. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The library has a coding workshop every fortnight which I’m looking forward to my daughter doing this week for the first time. There is no free parking.
Although there are now fewer books than before the refurb, the facilities are great and easily accessed by wheelchair users as well. There's a post office counter and a section for help and advice on council services basic information only i guess - they gave me a telephone number to contact them on to arrange for an extra green bin. If you need to get a job, they can help you create a cv and advise on job interviews etc. There is also help with budgeting available. All in all a good idea for having all services under one roof but sadly for me no extra green bin despite having a family of 9, the council have a strict policy of just 2 bins :.
Fahima is very helpful and friendly !
Just a heads up, the use of facilities do not align with the opening hours. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere on the site maybe I missed it but I wasn't allowed to use the printer when I arrived 15-20 minutes before closing as they said they had already shut the computers down for the day.
