Great place for a walk, run or cycle. Family friendly with play area for kids and some picnic tables. You can normally find an ice-cream van in the carpark during the spring and summer and there are public facilities on site.
Clean and well maintained, varied paths from gentle to steep incline. Lovely views of Belfast Lough. Awesome walk and park for the kids can see squirrels in the trees and plenty of wild birds. Toilets, car parking, kids playground, ice cream parlour available
Awesome small park for spending relaxing time with a group of friends or family. You can bring chairs, mats and food. Make sure you clean up before you leave. Not a sandy beach.
Excellent spot for a stroll along the shore. Dog friendly and toilets are available. It's not 24 hour though so check.
Nice location for a walk along the sea front with great views, parking on site was easy, and plenty of space for relaxing if u wish to have a barbecue or picnic, there is a small Park beside the car park but not much in it, and could do with being updated.
I stumbled upon this place by accident. I was headed home along the motor way when I decided to take a detour to see the ocean. I got horribly lost but thanks to a friendly local who happened to be sitting on his front porch, I was directed to this very beautiful spot. Very picturesque and a beautiful view of the sea. I will be bringing my family up again when I get the chance to further explore. Many thanks to the local lad who guided me to this spot.
Clean, tidy, seems popular for the dog and cycling. Great wildlife and bird spotting opportunities. Very popular during COVID times and has held on to that. A lovely walk any time of the day
great spot for a walk along Belfast lough. The park has kiddies area and plenty of parking and toilet facilities. A bit of beach and great viewsò
What a blast we had. This park is great when the tides out. You can go down to the beach and walk amongst the rock pools and see what you can spot with kids. It’s great for BBQs as they have placed around 10 around the park on the higher grass bank over looking the sea which makes for a beautiful day out. I see kids here bringing their McDonald’s and eating it at the picnic tables too so it’s great for families, youth, all ages etc. The cycle path is quite lengthy. It stretches around the coastal route and goes for several miles. It’s also a lovely walk on a summers day. The kids love it here. They can run in and out with their wellies on when the weather is not so great. And an ice cream van parks in the car park no matter the weather so there is always on tap. Other amenities Toilets which you don’t have to pay for. Exercise equipment put in all NI parks by the govt. to encourage fitness - which the kids love as you can see. Overall, Hazelbank Park can get fairly busy I.e no picnic tables in the summer so beat heading their early.
Good park to walk beside the sea and enjoy the sea breeze, surf sound and beautiful trees. Good parking and public toilets. The view across Belfast lough and out to sea is awesome, with the Holywood hills across the lough. It's a lovely site for a walk or picnic tables and bbq grills on site. The gorgeous, towering trees are a remnant of a former estate dating back to the 1750s. You can cycle all the way along the lagan tow path or walk the other direction to Whiteabbey. Good vibe and lively views make it a good place to walk your dog or just mosey along the sand looking out to sea.
