Haywards is an absolute gem of a restaurant. The entire dining experience was fantastic. Staff are attentive and courteous making you feel very welcome, and the food is really something special. You are treated to amuse-bouche throughout the meal. All delicious and compliment the courses perfectly whilst showcasing the creativity of the chef. The ambience of the restaurant is relaxed and décor is simple and country-esque. If you're after fine dining without the pretentious attitude that usually goes with it, then Haywards is your place.

In the last six months or so, I have dined at Marcus; Marcus Waring, Petrus; Gordon Ramsey, Poland St Social; Jason Atherton, Alain Ducass at The Dorchester and The Ivy which has no star, but is well regarded. This little local gem is right up there with them all. Maybe not as elegant, certainly a slightly more friendly service, but the cuisine is exemplary. Fine dining at it's finest. You may think this review is a little long winded, but I have a great desire to give this establishment all the praise it warrants.
