When you walk through the door of My Village Hawraman, you step into a magical place straight out of a restaurant fairytale. I was informed I'd be experiencing Kurdish cuisine here, I knew nothing of it only that it was Mediterranean similar to some Turkish dishes and was excited to try this new cuisine. When you walk in and get to your table, you'll place your order at the till being welcomed by extremely friendly staff that make you feel you're in a family-run business. The food available is all vegan and extremely nice, leaving any person satisfied from their meal. Between 4 of us we shared a couple of starters and 2 mains, all washed down with a lovely bottle of Shiraz. The food came pretty fast and we received a wow factor at how good it all looked, before we sampled the dishes. Everything is extremely fresh and tasty, and the dishes are perfect for sharing with good company. We had the Falafel plate and Halloumi meal, with olives and vine leaves to start. With the different dips you'll get, expect to order more flat bread as you won't want to waste anything. This is definitely a restaurant I'd recommend to many, and would gladly return to for the magical experience to be had. The restaurant is very big and well decorated making you feel you're no longer in Camden, and there's even a space to see and hear live performances while you enjoy your food. In the summer this place will be great, as they have a big outdoor seating area out the back where you can enjoy a great time under the sun. I'll be sure to be back then, for more!
Stumbled upon this place on a recent visit, and the staff couldn't be more kind and helpful. Really tasty food, catering to vegetarian/vegans. There's a range of cocktails and coffee as well. I had the aubergine Kobani which was great. Lovely outdoor seating at the back which was perfect on a sunny day. There's free tap water as well. Very much recommended if you're in the area and looking for somewhere away from the busy market crowds.
Wandered in spontaneously one evening and just had the most amazing time! The service is excellent, it’s warm and inviting, you could spend hours here. Live music on Fridays, I absolutely recommend going in the evenings, definitely a hidden gem! Did not have the opportunity to try the food, but I can’t wait to go back and do so!Service: 5/5

My friend took me here for the first time and she assumed "I'd like it" but "I loved it" . It's like a little paradise in Camden Town and the food was amazing! The Hot Chocolate was fantastic and incredible! One of the best Hot chocolate I've had in my 22 years also the atmosphere is transcendental and Lao lao, the owners cat made my day!!!! I would definitely and highly recommend such a vibrant place for anyone!!!! Think not of the restaurant as a cafe in Camden but as a portal to your grandmothers cottage in Kurdistan. A star gate to the most wonderfully authentic experience. Delicious vegetarian food at a very reasonable price. We spent an enchanting summer’s evening in the wonderful little back garden at My Village Cafe. One would posit that the indoor snug would make for an equally welcoming sanctuary in the winter months also! The food was tip top. My friends and I were lucky enough to be furnished with complimentary olives and soup. If I could give it six stars, I would, if not for Lula the cat alone.
