This was the first time I’ve visited since they renovated the building. The new parking is a perfect addition and easy to you also free which is refreshing with NHS facilities and the building itself is clean and maintained well. The main plus for me is all the staff are personable and friendly mine was an intimate visit and the nurse and doctor were both brilliant in making me comfortable.
Was spoken to really rudely by a receptionist ringing at 6.15pm today to cancel an importance vaccine appointment for tomorrow. I tried to explain I was already due to make a formal complaint regarding how the surgery dealt with my urgent vaccine need 2 weeks earlier, only to now find out they were cancelling tomorrow's appointment. I explained that they could have got someone else eg GP, to administer the vaccine and she proceeded to ask me if it would be fair to expect a GP to do it if the nurse was off sick. When I started to respond and then stopped myself, saying I don't want to waste my time explaining anymore as she clearly had no empathy for the patient and the particular circumstances, she said in a really 'happy' tone...okay then, bye. Absolutely shocking behaviour. She knew I was of a medical background and this definitely did not spare me from being on the receiving end of her awful, uncaring, unprofessional behaviour.
Reception staff are very rude and obnoxious no sense of how to speak to people. If you have an option go with another surgery. Dr dougas is brilliant and it went downhill once they moved from sycamore. The staff at reception lack common sense and I believe require training in people skills. They don’t have appointments but will waste two appointments on unnecessary reasons. The staff also pay no mind to the doctors notes and do as they please. Purely abuse of their power as they know people needing appointments have no other choice. Definitely looking to go elsewhere.
I wish to say a huge Thank you to Nurse Laura Heeley. I have been seen twice by nurse Laura for my kids and on both separate occasions, she has never failed to make the right decision regarding the necessary care and treatment for the illnesses described.nMy recent appointment for my daughter was related to an enlarged gland in her throat. Nurse Laura did all her observations and referred us to A&E to rule out Quinsy. Overnight stay and IV antibiotics helped settle it. Thank you for your excellent professionalism as a qualified nurse and making the best choices for us patients.
Not one mother and baby parking spot, made it really difficult for my daughter with a new born baby and a 3 Yr old to get in and out of car, plenty of electric parking spots though!
