A great farm shop and cafe. The shop is very well stocked with many locally sourced products including a good fresh products counter. The establishment also sells gifts and fancy goods. The cafe is spacious, spotlessly clean and sells hot/cold drinks as well as snacks and full meals. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is ample car parking.
The restaurant was busy with Christmas trade but we were well attended. We started with a delicious souffle. We both had shin of beef which was very tasty, our only small complaint is that the vegetables were only just warm. We both had the Christmas pudding which was tasty and we'll presented
I thought the food was delicious. It gets 3 stars because the older waitress was almost impatient and abrupt... and it was not welcoming. I had a very tiny dog with me...the whole reason for going was the " dog menu" but there was only 1 dog item available... everything else sold out. Not once while i was there did any staff come out and ask any customers with dogs if they were OK. It was like the dog owners were being ignored. Plus it was over priced. £8.50 for a very small belly pork sandwich... nothing else. Chips or salad was extra. I can see a family of 4 easily paying well over £50 for lunch.
Had a pot of tea and a individual Victoria sponge cake in the busy cafe and it was delicious, the service was fast ,staff are friendly and there is a lovely indoor seating area for you and your dog if needed . The farm shop itself is well stocked with a range of products from gluten free ,tinned foods ,a large selection of cakes and biscuits, fresh produce and a wide selection of raw and cooked meats including homemade pies,quiches sausage rolls , corned beef and black pudding. The Christmas range of decorations and gifts was extensive and very reasonable priced well worth a visit .
I met a friend here for breakfast at 10am on a Friday, just before it started to get busy. We both chose mushrooms on toast with fried egg and it was simply delicious, a really tasty and satisfying treat. And we both had a couple of cups of coffee each. I want to say the filter coffee they serve at HHH is, in my fussy opinion, the best by far in the area. It wasn't my first visit, and I shall definitely be back again soon.
The best meat! We regularly travel down from near Berwick and stock up as nothing comes close for taste and quality. Great helpful staff and service. Steak pies to die for!
Always a lovely place for a good cup of tea. Staff friendly and efficient. Theres a good selection on the menu to suit all tastes. The shop also is worth a visit.
Called in for a bite to eat ,great service,wonderful food.Could not fault the service received. The farm shop was well stocked and once again the staff were very pleasant.
Sunday lunch was absolutely fantastic. the meat was tender, and the vegetables were well cooked. Service was quick and friendly .
We ordered Moroccan carrot soup with crumbled feta and warmed multigrain crusty role and cauliflower fritters with spicy sauce. delicious . It is more expensive than other places but the quality and portions makes it worth it as well as the goodies they sell in the farm shop. Well worth a visit
