Since the place is closing down, it still has a few cheap sofa deals. Worth a visit if you are planning to buy a new set. The only deterrence is the delivery. It seems like there is an extra charge for delivering your stuff, but you do not get to choose on the date or time of delivery. You don't even get to talk to the delivery guy till he calls you on the date of delivery.
Ordered a marble dining table & 6 chairs in January. It was meant to arrive within 5 weeks but the table arrived in 3 months which we then saw was cracked. Took long enough to talk to a member of staff as phones were not being answered but when we finally did, the replacement table took another 2 months anyway. No chairs had arrived at this point but after a lot of complaining, we received the chairs last week Thursday. We would never buy from harveys again as the customer service is very bad! Don’t shop here, it will save you the stress!
We went to buy a coffee table. They were so fast with taken the money and placing the order. We were told that we will should expect a delivery within 2 to 3 weeks. The delivery came after a month. When they delivered the table and wanted to assemble it we realised the table glass and legs were scratched and the people who delivered and assembled the item also noticed it and they informed their manager about which then promised to have the damaged item collected and replaced with a new table. Few days after that we had someone who picked the damaged item and then two weeks after they delivered a new one and when they delivered it the said we can’t assemble it. So we said to them we paid for assembly so we should have it assembled. They refused to assemble it which made us call the their office and ask for a refund. First they didn’t want to and they offered a small discount which we rejected and asked to have our money back. So we went to the store where we bought it from at staple corner and the manager there was really awful, he approached us with the worst service I have ever seen in my life. He kept us waiting after we kept going and coming as he left the store to drop his daughter to his wife. After all this he refunded some of the money and I’m still waiting to the rest. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY or the MANGER.
Awful store. Staff do not know the difference between a left hand facing sofa from a right hand facing. Gave us wrong information regarding the sofa which led us to a purchase. Delivery times were also inaccurate. I was told 6-8 weeks however it was more around 10 weeks. Upon delivery the sofa would not fit through the door due to the lies told in store by the incompetence of a sales advisor. Upon complaining the manager was on holiday and the assistant manager did not have the power to do anything? which is also a joke. I was told the manager would call me when he would return from holiday however surprise surprise... no phone call again.The only positive thing I can say is the social media team were great to deal with. I was given the chance to reselect another sofa which took another 6 weeks to arrive. All in all I was without sofas for around 4 months. Even then I had problems with booking a delivery with the customer service, I was told twice I would get a call back however each time there was no call back recieved. This company is the worst retailer I have ever had to deal with and would NEVER recommend them to anyone.
I bought a sofa , Dinning / chairs and tv unit from Harvey’s store in NW2. I was promised that my goods will be ready and delivered in 4 weeks . I have waited 7 weeks and until now I have only received the TV unit. I called the store and the manager was extremely rude , unprofessional and couldn’t answer any of my questions. I then called head office and I was advised that my sofas will be delivered today and they couldn’t give me a time slot . With regards to my dining table I was advised that it was from a different supplier and they have no idea what happened and why no one got in touch with me . I paid 1, 450 pounds . I would advise any customer to avoid Harvey’s at all cost . I am going to take Harvey’s to small claim court and claim my money back.
Absolutely brilliant service from all the ladies and management! I was treated like a celebrity, I literally felt as though the red carpet was rolled out when I first stepped in. Never have I seen a team work so well together to ensure all my needs were met. The sofas were classy and elegant just like the women, and the price was just right thanks to management. An absolute pleasure from start to finish. Other retailers could learn from this team all year round.
Ordered sofa set from Staples Corner store. helpful staff, bit tooo helpful. got a leather cleaning kit with the order. took the full 9 weeks to have them ready for delivery. +1 week to deliver. correct colour I ordered and no damages I noticed. updated on the order by text message throughout the 9 weeks. quality sofas, built well, and very comfortable [took out the extra cover in case workmanship fails in the future]. would have 5 stars if wooden floor protection caps were provided, as I was told these would be provided on delivery.
I ordered two tables in October 2019 that I still have not received. I have spent hours in total on the phone to the Staples Corner, on the phone to customer service and in the Staples Corner store in person, and have been met with excuse after excuse. Read other reviews on the internet and you will soon find this is not an uncommon experience. Would not recommend ordering from Harvey’s at all.
Avoid this store!! If you would like stress then this is the right store. Their customer service is appalling. They are liar. I bought a not so cheap dining set with them and paid for assembly as well. 2 men delivered the dining set and assembled the chairs and said that after an hour a courier will come and assemble the dining table. I thought it was Very odd but i believed them Few hours later, nobody turned up. I called the customer service and said the 2 men should have assembled the dining table. I have arranged another day and took another dayoff for someone to assemble the table and guess what? After waiting for the person to arrive, he just cancelled at 4pm without telling me, and he said he could not find a parking. He did not try to call me to ask where he could park. He just did not turn up. I would not find out if I did not call the customer sevice. I told them I just want to return the items and just want my money back. They said call the store. And now after trying few times calling the store, no one’s picking up. Appalling. This company is a total nightmare. Read previous reviews before buying with them. Don’t just read the few reviews. Go back to as far and you will know how bad they are.
Harveys ripping people off left, right and centre they’re selling sofas that come in ‘equal parts’ but when the drivers arrive they then scam you and say they can’t deliver it as it ‘doesn’t fit in the lift’ but they’ll ‘make a call’ and they won’t bring it up more than two flights, they then tell you it needs to be dismantled and you need a specialist more money when really it just needs to be carried up the stairs and have the legs taken off to fit through the doorways. The Dismantler’s then arrive a week later and just bring it in and clip it together so no dismantling needed at all. Customer services refuse to help and send you back to the store to deal with them ‘nothing to do with them’ apparently. The entire process has seen the worst customer service and turned into the biggest con I’ve ever experienced.
