Although I don’t go here anymore, I must say it has bullies but if you have good friends it can be a great place. The education is actually really good, better than TNA’s The teachers are strict but it’s only because some students are a bit rude but some do just want the best for you & your future. Everybody thinks Mr Nealon is a nonce. The P.E is good, because you get to do good subjects of pe especially if you’re the girls P.E group. In TNA you mainly just do football and netball. In Hartshill we did Rugby, football, netball, badminton and volleyball.
I go to this school and its a mess, you never see the floor clean and there is always gum under the table its appalling, bullies everywhere and so many rude students, some teachers are not very nice as well. Hartshill you need to fix this mess. :
Terrible school full of bullies, the teachers aren't bothered about what's going on. Needs new staff that will do the job properly and sort these kids out.
Toilets are disgusting. Unwashed tables with dirty scum chewing gum left under tables for years... Stairs get overcrowded and dangerous. Water fountain extremely unhygienic. People still use the fountain even knowing someone was sick in it before. The school is gross. The only thing stopping me from moving is my friends, if my friends were in a different school then I would happily move to that school.. also really short lunch times... less than 30 minutes it seems... Also teachers in classrooms treat children worse than they do when parents are present... Also another thing. Supply teachers keep covering other staff that can't be bothered to turn up...
Absolutely poor school, daughter goes to this school and has been bullied, teachers do nothing, the girls who are the bullies think they are funny and go around in groups and on social media causing trouble. Teachers need training in this, and clamp down imediatly or they will loose more pupils moving my daughter to another school and if you're thinking of going to this school please think again.
Attended Hartshill High School from 2010 to 2015. The first two and a half years were alright but then the school tried to become something it wasn't. They changed their uniform to shirts and blazers to appear more "smart" but in-turn looked worse. Seeing kids walking home in a muddy blazer with their shirts untucked dragging their backpacks across the floor looks a lot worse than the old polo and sweatshirt combo. You can't be dressing students like they attend a private school when the vast majority of the students come from economically deprived areas where they cannot maintain the upkeep of such attire. The senior leadership team are a bunch of chauvinists on power trips, permanently expelling numerous students for doing nothing more than re-tweeting a tweet on social media and subsequently banning them from their own prom. The prom should be a celebration for the students and therefore all should be eligible to attend, instead they like to make it about themselves. Students would be removed from learning and sent into isolation for wearing coloured socks. The democratic system when selecting head boy and head girl is corrupt. They usually hold an assembly where each candidate displays a presentation to their peers and then concludes with a student vote. In my year group I had won the votes for head boy but the school refused to give it to me and instead made only the boys as head girl was already appointed in the initial process present to the staff and even had new candidates join. This meant a lad who did not run in the students' votes got the head boy title despite the fact the point of the role is to represent their peers and should therefore be chosen by their peers. If you're in the catchment area I would recommend Higham Lane. They're a lot stricter but at least they get results out of the kids and set them up for a better life.
terrible the toilets have been drilled shut tables are covered in gum most teachers are teachers are disrespectful cover teachers don't do squat for the teachers that don't bother showing up the only reason I haven't left yet is because of exams and friends.
I get supply teachers constantly and cakes and food are spilt on the floor. Also at the time of writing this review , today i heard in my classroom that students were being racist to a teacher. It was upseting The only good bit is the food but the school is changing with the newly appointed headteacher although she hasn't turned up yet -_-
dreadful school, censors the opinions of students and goes as far as taking their college placements when they simply post factual reviews of the school on facebook. the school know they're awful and rather than improving they censor criticism, do not send you kids here.
I’m new and this is a dreadful place to be no help or support nothing was ready and everyone is horrible don’t come here
