Called for lunch last Wednesday and have to say it was great! One if the best minted lamb pies I have ever had. All the food ordered (5 dishes) was well presented, fresh and delicious. Great staff , quick service and friendly. Definitely will return!

This is a great place for lunching with friends or when you don't feel the urge to cook. They do a nice £6 lunch menu and the Sunday roast dinner is exceptional value for money. Desserts are better than your average offering and portions very generous.

Couldn't fault our experience here for lunch on 18/11/17. The family can be rather awkward with ordering but the staff were friendly and accommodating. They put us at ease. The menu can be seen as slightly limited but it is supplemented with a specials board and they will allow some slight changes to courses. At first, the price seemed a little expensive but once the food had arrived, the portions were very generous and it was extremely delicious. I had the mixed grill. The selection of drinks was good and I can not speak any higher of the staff and their manner. We will return.

Great pub, great food, staff very friendly and fantastic accommodation. Located near a beautiful Reservoir some lovely walking in this area.
