An order at the till type place with good food and a lovely location. It has a canteen feel but that doesn’t hinder it at all. It sits on the River so it makes for a pleasant setting on a good day. The food has been consistently good each time we’ve been. I usually have the Bacon and Avocado on Sourdough and it’s good. Dogs are welcome outside also. There is a vast ice cream selection among other things if you fancy sweet.
Large bright and airy cafe with outside area overlooking the harbour. Great if slightly expensive food. Varied menu with daily specials. Order and pay at the till, take your drinks and the helpful staff bring with horizontal striped tops bring the food. Clean toilets! Would certainly go here again.
Great cafe, with lovely menu. Fresh cooked food to order. Lovely cakes, teas, coffee, hot chocolate and cold drinks. Roast lunch excellent. Enjoyed roast turkey yesterday, absolutely superb. One of the best I've had in a long time anywhere. Staff are lovely. Great location on the river. Luckily my neighbour! Lethal though as cakes etc are too tempting!
For food and quick service I give 5 stars, but I didn't like that orders are only accepted at the counter - 3,5 stars. Food was VERY good, fresh. Carrot cake juisy and SO GOOD! I definitely will come back again. :
We had a late family lunch at the Cafe. We recognised that its similar to the Lobster Pot in Bognor. The menu and the way of serving. So the same quality! We were very happy to find it out. The food was great. Fish and chips and the crab. Also the location of Harbour Lights Cafe is very convenient, close to the promenade. You can seat inside or outside with fantastic view over the river and the sea. Strongly recommend for visiting!
Great breakfast & brunch options, from classic full English to smashed avocado on sourdough. My scrambled eggs with bacon on toast had soft buttery eggs and decent tasty bacon. It's clearly a popular spot but service was quick and friendly. As we were leaving they were writing up the daily specials for lunch and they had some tempting options.
Probably the best coronation chicken sandwich I've ever had. Generous filling amount. Ordered side portion of chips which made it a full meal Was moderately busy, but this was 3rd march so was served quite quickly. I could imagine there maybe a wait in summer months
Lovely cafe, fairly busy with a decent menu from snacks through to hearty meals. We chose ham egg and chips with tea for two, all of which was very nice. As a bonus the view out of the windows across the river are very interesting and unique.
Amazing place, we got there just before the kitchen closed and they had no problem with us ordering. Great location and food and amazing staff.
What an incredible experience we just had here at H lights cafe, we finally found a restaurant that serve proper seafood, is exactly what this beautiful country needs, more and more seafood! Can't wait to come back, keep it up
