I booked here for one night in a single room. The room was comfortable enough, with a decent shower and good wifi. There was a kettle with tea and coffee, plus fresh towels. The room was really clean. On the down side there was music from the pub downstairs and you can hear cars passing on the road outside neither was a problem for me. The switch on the bedside lamp was broken, and the main room light was very dim.
Brilliant and friendly place to go you will enjoy what ever time you go .Had a lovely time can't wait to go back again.

Stayed here a few times on business trips and it’s a pleasure to be there. Rooms are cosy, clean and comfortable. Food is great and a fine selection of beverages to choose from, all at a nice price. The people who run this establishment are brilliant hosts. Would recommend.
Wonderful staff nice quite little pub
Sunday lunch. I'm finding some of these positive reviews very hard to believe. Sunday lunch for three people was a disaster. The portions are not big as people seem to claim. The quality is very low. The roast potatoes were the frozen type. The cabbage was still crunchy. Beef was lukewarm. The pork was nice, but one slice after ordering a large roast? Peas tasted like tinned. The three of us left about half of the meal and went and had something nice elsewhere.
A fantastic traditional pub, full of atmosphere, great beer/drinks And run by a fab team!! A little gem of a place

Very nice food served with a smile. The drinks are reasonable, too. Great value all round and highly recommended, as you don't need to book a table in advance.
