Beautiful little seaside village that also hosts the best fish and chippie in Fife. The scenery is stunning, there are other attractions to visit such as the Scottish Fisheries Museum and Scotland’s best kept secret, Churchill’s bunker.
What a great place to visit. It's all wintery/autumnaly as far as the sea is concerned. The harbour walk is open to all. Wheel chair users alike. Photos attached. Have a look and please like. There is an award winning restaurant called the wee chippy just right at the harbour. Food is absolutely amazing. Very reasonable prices. Great coffee too. The harbour has parking places for harbour staff only. Public toilets open till about 8om ish.
Nice quaint harbour and even better in the sun. Plenty of good fish and chips around and The Waterfront restaurant on the harbour is excellent. Large cheap carpark on the harbour. Near to St Andrews and other small villages. Lacks a good traditional pub on the harbour.
Stunning East neuk village, with a choice of 3 good chip shops , famous isn't always better. The wee chippy also caters for gluten free everyday not just some days. The harbour can get rather busy at times especially when the chip shops open , the Queues can be quite lengthy. Please be respectful in parking near the RNLI lifeboat station, if they get a shout they need to be able to gain access quickly to get afloat. Their swift launch could save lives . And please don't again don't feed the seagulls. They pose a hazard to the area they snatch and steal off Humans all sizes . And create litter . The area is steeped in history please enjoy responsibly and show respect to others .
Stayed in Anstruther for 4 days absolutely lovely wee coastal village great pubs and restaurants people very friendly.
Went through here at the weekend when on a walk.lovely village, friendly people,nice fish &chip shops if that's your thing, excellent coastal walks,on a sunny day all very relaxed
Lovely picturesque harbour in the East Neuk of Five with Brest selection of cafes and restaurants looking onto the harbour. Always worth trying one of the fish and chip restaurants along the front for an incredible meal with fresh north sea fish. Only downside I would say that it can get very busy at times.
Great place to get fish and chips Wee Chippy and eat on the harbour wall.
Nice wee walk round the harbour. Was a bit windy and water came over the walls but can't help the weather. There was a seal in the harbour as well. The toilets are located there and have a sign saying they close at 15.30.
Picturesque and working fishing harbour with plenty of car parks. Would have stayed longer but the wind was hellish. They should do something about that.
