I have been ordering from happy house for years and have to say it’s the best local Chinese takeaway. My son is a very picky eater and absolutely loves ordering from here. Quick delivery they say 45 mins but usually only take about 25-30 mins … They always try to accommodate my quirky mix’s/food requests and these can be pretty strange sometimes lol! and food always arrives fresh & hot. Personally, I would definitely recommend ordering from here. The only downside is the £1 delivery fee compared to the majority of the other local Chinese takeaways who deliver within a certain mile radius for free

We have ordered yesterday for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. We had tried 6 dishes and they all amazing.

Ordered from here for over 10 years and never had an issue until today. Chicken chow mein was dry and was as if the chicken had been added on top rather than its usual mixture, chicken was dry and no flavour. Rice was hard, cooked hours before served. Pancake rolls are larger than normal but the pastry was soggy rather than the usual crisp. Honestly not sure what has happened tonight, new chef maybe, if that is the case then I am sorry but I shall not be ordering again. I have never minded paying the price a little more expensive than most Chinese restaurants in Cheshunt but not for food that is not enjoyable, which I am afraid todays was.

Ordered for delivery a few times from happy house and I still think its the best local chinese.  Really tasty, well cooked good portion size. Love the egg fried rice, prawns and chicken balls. Sometimes can take a while but they are busy so just wait for the excellent food to arrive!

IMPOSSIBLE to order!! I’ve eaten here before and the food is nice. But why such a struggle to get through to?? Twice now we’ve not been able to actually get through to order. Extremely frustrating.

We love this takeaway. Ingredients are super fresh, not overly oily and the satay sauce is amazing! It's a really great price and all the staff are always so lovely. Looking forward to our next order.

I live on the canal and whenever I'm moored near Cheshunt I make sure I get at least one takeaway from Happy House! Some of the tastiest black bean with tofu I've ever had, and the satay mixed vegetables are really special, quite different to others I've had. The tofu is always lovely just ask for it even though it's not on the menu and the veg is perfectly cooked, fresh, and varied -- green pepper, mushroom, broccoli, bamboo, water chestnut, Chinese cabbage. I love it, and they are so nice there. Always organised and clean too. Thank you Happy House :

This is one of my family's favorites restaurants! Such great homestyle authentic Chinese food, makes me feel like I'm back in China. We eat here quite often, every few weeks or so and order from the family menu, which is a great deal. Some of my faves are the seafood tofu soup, yang chow fried rice, seafood tofu hot pot, and anything kung pao

I popped in here on bank holiday Sunday and was served by such a lovely lady. I explained i only had 15 minutes then had to jump on the train. She helped me select a meal that would work in the timeframe... and they completely delivered I had Rice + Beef with Green Peppers in Black Bean Sauce + Sweet & Sour Chicken balls it was all delicious! Total £6.70 meal for one exceptional value... thank you so much for the beautiful food! One Love Jonathan

I tend to go here when I can't be bothered to wait for delivery as I live round the corner. Portions are a bit small compared to my usual Chinese, and some dishes can be a bit naff in terms of flavour.  Average all round, not great, but certainly not bad.
