We stayed overnight at the Hampton by Hilton Gatwick North and had a really pleasant experience from start to finish. The hotel is ideally located for early flights, with easy access to the airport, making it a stress-free choice for travel.nnCheck-in was smooth and efficient, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed — perfect for a good night’s sleep before travelling.nnThe room was quiet despite being close to the airport, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was included and offered a good variety of options, ideal for starting the day before heading off.nnOverall, this was a great overnight stay and exactly what you want from an airport hotel — comfortable, convenient, and great value for money. We would definitely stay here again
We stayed here because our flight was early in the morning. The hotel entrance is located right next to our airline’s check-in desk, which was extremely convenient.nnHowever, we did experience a fire evacuation during our stay. The staircase led us to the back of the hotel, with no direct access back inside, so we had to walk around and re-enter through the main entrance near the check-in desks. By the time we returned to the lobby, everything appeared completely normal, as if nothing had happened. We even had to queue just to ask the staff what was going on, only to be told that it was a false alarm caused by the kitchen. We would have appreciated a clear announcement or some form of communication to reassure guests that there was no serious threat. This lack of communication is the main reason for the lower rating.nnThe rooms themselves are decent, and the breakfast was sufficient for a quick meal before our flight. Overall, I think the staff could improve their communication during unexpected situations.
A good location if you have a very early morning or late night flight. Just a walk through the tunnel to the terminal. Room was very clean. Shower a little noisy but hey ho!. The staff were extremely helpful. Reception was welcoming. But above all, COLIN who was one of the morning staff who was extremely attentive and welcoming. He was quite comical I am sure he is a descendant of Norman Wisdom??? and he will always leave a little mark in our hearts of our families memory bank of our overnight stay at this hotel. Colin was very helpful with the morning breakfast waffle maker, and Colin ensured we were happy and comfortable at breakfast time. He certainly brightened up the cold winter morning, and if anyone has the pleasure of meeting him, I am sure they would feel the same. Kristina was also super lovely and helpful. A lovely smile to greet the day and ensured our table was spotless.
