We visited the Aberystwyth store whilst on holiday in our caravan to buy an electric cool box. All the models except the one we were interested in were on display so we asked if we could see it out of the box. The manager refused & told us they were only allowed to open so many boxes. He then went on to say it was the same as the large cool box but smaller except it was totally different & exactly the same as the small cool box but bigger. What he failed to do was show us exactly what a 24 LT cool box actually looked like for our needs. I thought the whole point of retail was showing the item in store to a potential customer especially as the item is sat there right  in front of you.nIf we purchased this item & returned it as unsuitable then the box would have been opened anyway.nWe then informed him there was a 10% discount available on cool boxes online with a code & asked if we were eligible for it in store. He told us we’ll have to see what happens at the till & then walked away. We took the goods to the till & was told by the female assistant that the discount was an online offer only so at this point we are losing the urge to buy this cool  box. We returned to our car & checked out the discount code situation & it states the discount will also be given in store when the code is quoted. We purchased the cool box by click & collect from the car park.nNot sure if these guys were just being difficult but  they bent over backwards to make this purchase about as awkward as it could be. We use  Halfords all the time but won’t be returning to this store.

I would like to thank the Manager for all the help and support given outside the store on Friday 7th of June. You went above and beyond to help both myself and my husband whilst we waited for an ambulance , which we are very grateful. Just to let you know I am on the road to recovery and will highly recommend your store . Thank you very much.

Went in to replace a break light and was offered a free checkover. Tires, engine coolant and oil windscreen wipers were all checked along with all other lights. Everything was explained very clearly to me and I received wonderful service from Daniel. Many thanks

Last week, 23 May I took my bike in to Halfords Aberystwyth for a service, and said do all that is required leaving myself open to any bill :  I know nnOn Sunday 27th to say it was done.nnI knew roughly what was needed, brakes, ckain, cassette and expected about £120 ishnnIt was £141.nnBUT WOW What I did NOT expect was the above and beyond service I received.nnI had fitted a third party rear rack, THEY removed my home made bracket and MADE a proper one for me.nnThe bike is clean and as good as new.nn1960s service in 2024, 100% perfect Aberystwyth.
