Wanted help with a headlight bulb for my Citroen, also needed it fitting. Unfortunately the chap I spoke to made me feel like I had to sign up to a scheme before I could get the help I needed, I said I had a 3 year old granddaughter in the car but this did not deter his persistence. As it was dark and I needed the bulb fitting I felt I had no choice but to agree. An hour later and after having a guy check everything on my car, which wasn't necessary but part of the deal, I finally got my headlight bulb fitted. They also don't have customer toilets which didn't help at all.
Generally a good store but staff levels in the shop have been pretty low lately meaning no one to advise on new location of stock or to get items from locked displays.
Great service NEW MOT guy very Knowledgeable & very helpfull will defo be going back there any time there's an issue needs looking at on my car!! Highly recommended top service!!
I arranged to take my car to Halfords at Rayleigh Weir for a MOT test and service. I was given an appointment date and scheduled time to arrive. I was impressed by the careful, methodical and thorough way the mechanic conducted his investigation. Because safety is my priority I'm pleased that various things about the car which weren't quite right - and which I was unaware of - were detected and explained to me so that they could be corrected and my car made safer to drive.Service: General repairs & maintenance
I am not a driver !. But bought items for my partner. 27th/10/22. Deb, the young lady at the counter/ checkout was so helpful. In fact she went above and beyond. And I will add that it is fabulous to see Halfords employing the DISABLED along with the ABLE BODIED staff. GREAT WORK HALFORDS.
Booked into the garage for a timed slot. Was easy to book online however took much longer than was told. Online says half hour for new battery. On arrival we were told approx 35 mins. 30 mins later I got a phone call to say the battery was fine. I said I wanted it changed as it was 5 years old and I wanted a new one so they reluctantly agreed to still change it. I had already paid online. It then took a further hour and 20 mins while we stood outside in the blistering heat for it to be changed. As soon as they finished we drove straight home. Two hours later I got an email to tell me the job was complete and car ready to collect. The fitting was fine and cost ok but give realistic timescales as we could have arranged alternative transport whilst waiting rather than staying for what we was told would be a quick turnaround time but certainly wasn’t.Services: Auto battery replacement
Halfords Autocentre at Rayleigh have a great range of car products from valeting to servicing and they also have a decent selection of tools. The in car entertainment and selection of Sat Nav and Dash Cam equipment also takes some beating and it's ideal having it all under one roof. If your involved in the motor trade you can apply for a parts discount card, which gives you varied savings on mechanical parts, oils and batteries. This store also has a huge range of cycle equipment and they also offer bike servicing or fitting of accessories for a small cost. To the front left hand side of the building is the Autocentre but I haven't used this so can't review this part of the business. For a small fee the staff in the shop will fit light bulbs and most of the staff try to be helpful. Prices are fair considering the size of the shop and their overheads but obviously it's always worth checking online prior to bigger purchases. Please see my pictures and thanks for reading
Call centre lady was very helpful & found the battery i needed for my car & had them put it aside for me & Rayleigh & gentlemen that fitted it was friendly & helpful..so good experience thank you.
Popped in for a couple of bits. Got what I needed without issue. Staff wearing headsets chatting amongst themselves is a little annoying when going through check outs.
