Very very generic and lacklustre pub. In this day and age there's no excuse for a place like this anymore. Food was very basic and cheap, but not cheap in price. Drink selection abysmal; I'm not sure what the other reviewer calls a good ale selection, but this isn't it. One single guest actual ale, not a very good one at that. The rest of the drinks were as generic as the place. Staff were very good, no concerns there at all, just a shame they're wasted in a place so desperately in need of someone to actually have pride in what they provide. Wetherspoons show this place up, let alone the Station Hotel which is in a different league.

It's a great place to meet friends for a drink ,music good ,it seems to becoming a youngsters social gathering place which spoils it for the regular Friday night people who have been going long before the now owner took over. I haven't tried the food but hear the Sunday lunch is really good .

The Sunday dinners here are unforgettable! Absolutely delicious, real home made grub and a Yorkie as big as your face :)
