Hands down the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I am a nervous patient but they are extremely friendly, professional and patient. They also take time to explain what they are doing to you, which I find reassuring. And even though it’s a private dentist I didn’t find they were trying to sell me a lot of extra treatments. Also the reception staff are lovely, they didn’t mind when I had to cancel an appointment very last minute when I got covid. Overall I highly recommend this practice.
Really amazing practice. Am a very nervous patient and the dentist has always been really reassuring and explains everything. The reception team are friendly and helpful. They were also excellent with my two year old. Highly recommend.
Service with a smile. The Receptionists are very helpful, any questions they will endeavour to answer. Always accommodating with appointments. You feel in safe hands and listened to by the dentists and hygiene team. I have been with this practice for around 20 years or more and even though I have moved out of the area I still attend this practice and so do my parents.
After arriving in London, my son had already worn braces for 1 year, it was important to continue the treatment correctly. They turned to Ines, a super specialist, first an overview of what was before and what the situation is after a year of using braces, a new appointment. We have been with Ines for half a year now, she is just a super specialist, everything is fast, high-quality and professional. We are very satisfied, I recommend that if you need system braces, you should be treated only in Half Moon Dental Center.
Reception staff are welcoming and friendly. Conner is an excellent hygienist - very kind, professional and always does a great job. Always answers my queries thoroughly and provides good advice and recommendations regarding my cleaning routine.
I am new to the practice and needed some extensive treatment today. I found Nici to be not only a very skilful dentist but she has a lovely calm and reassuring manner as well. The reception team are also very friendly, helpful and approachable, which sadly isn’t always the case in the medical world. Many thanks.
The dental practice removed all NHS patients without warning, leaving people struggling to pay for dental care - with no care for existing patients. Extremely shocked a dental surgery can do this to its long standing patients when many people are struggling. It now costs £45 for a 10min check up without x-rays. Would be interested to see their financials as this seems rather steep. Seems like a pure profit making surgery with no care for peoples' well being.
I am giving four starts overall because over the years, I have had a good experience at this practice, but I have outlined specific cons which if not address will reduce my overall rating in the future. Pros: nice dental surgery with friendly staff and easy to make an appointment especially with the updated online booking system. Great location in heart of Herne Hill. Staff take an educational approach to dental care, explaining along the way their recommendations and best practices. Cons: prices keep going up by large % increases, they no longer take NHS patients at all I know there are reasons for this per the reduced NHS contracts, etc but this is simply unacceptable - everyone including dental surgeries should be pushing back on the gov to properly fund dentistry through the NHS, and they have dropped all infection prevention precautions simply because the gov dropped all guidelines; this is not acceptable - it's a dental practice where aerosolising procedures are being conducted, putting all staff and patients at risk especially given nature of dental treatment means one cannot wear a mask during the appointment, even if they want to. As a medical organisation, they should be setting an infection control standard, regardless of what the government requires, to protect all staff and patients, and so the onus isn't on higher risk and vulnerable patients.
Half Moon dental exhibits Professionalism is friendly and helpful. My wife is wheelchair bound and could not be wheeled into the examining room so Dr. Toby Beal agreed to see her in the corridor just to give explanation and advice. He did not charge for his time or work and Referred her to Kings College Dental. Though "for profit" partnership they went out of their way to be helpful. Both my wife and I are most grateful
I have been a patient at Half Moon for years. The reception area is clean and comfortable. The reception team are helpful and friendly. The dental and hygienist team are very professional and knowledgeable.
