You wouldn’t think you’d find an authentic, Japanese-owned restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh but here it is! Excellent quality and flavours. Wish we had another day for another meal here…but we’ll be back.
Arrived in Edinburgh and fancied Ramen for dinner, came across this place on Google not too far from my hotel. The ramen was pretty good, I'm not sure how the normal portion would have been but I got the extra noodles and i was pretty stuffed! The broth was pretty flavourful and definitely would go back again!Food: 5/5
Great vegetarian options, vegan too. The food quality was exceptional! The inari nigiri was delicious. The atmosphere was slow paced and relaxing. Not a quick done in experience but well worth it. I did find a hair on my food but I did eat it anyway after removing it and I didn't raise it with the staff who looked very clean. In covid terms it is a small premises and the tables are close together. Price was well worth it with the quality of food served. Each dish below was £14.95!
We came for a quick lunch before our flight. We ordered chirashi Don, salmon & avocado Don and a pot of tea. We never got to try the food, after waiting 45 mins our tea was all cold and the food still had not arrived. We had a flight to catch so asked how much longer it was going to take, and were told 10-15 mins and we should leave if we don't like it, so we left. The stuff we ordered was just raw fish on rice, it should have been ready almost immediately, no idea why we had to wait. So the take away from this is, don't come here if you are short on time.
8 family members turned up for a sushi making class. All of us had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our experience and eating the sushi we produced. Good atmosphere. Kid-friendliness: Younger customers were very well looked after during our training course in making sushi dishes.
Perfect place for a great ramen. The place is a little bit tiny, but the atmosphere is right and the food is delicious. The whiskey selection is also great, the have Nikka, which is always a big plus. I'm pretty sure I am coming back the next time I visit Edinburgh.
Honestly I would give it more stars if I could. First off, they kindly took us in even though they already started preparing to close. We ordered the curry, beef tataki, ramen, gyoza, fries and spicy tuna temaki. Everything was absolutely delicious. My brother even remarked how this is the best Japanese he has had outside of Japan! Despite it being late, they did ask if we wanted dessert, which given the time we should have declined...but I could not resist trying the fried banana and ice cream dessert! Fantastic. Highly recommend.
Perfect place! Very tasty and good service! Very tasty plum vine! It is better to book a table if you want to have a dinner because the place is rather small. Thank you so much for a nice evening!
Japanese Ramen secretly hides but quite well Known in Rose street which offer quite authentic vibe. Tonkatsu ramen soup is nice for me Takoyaki is also yummy. It’s can be easily full with the limited space so better come early or make a reservation.
Delicious food and amazing service! Will come back to try the ramen since that looked soo good High quality sushi and scrumptious starters
