Fabulous cocktail bar really well made and more choice than your average bar which are delicious and unique! The staff are all very effective and efficient and really help you too have a great night out with friends!
Hakamou scores high on novelty value - it's Hawaiian themed, so think grass skirts, seating areas that looks like little straw huts and cocktails in coconuts. The music seems to mainly be 80s and 90s - there's a lot of cheese in there. It's a nice little bar.
I've always love this bar since it opened and went back recently after not being in town for a while. The atmosphere is still great, the staff were fantastic, and the drinks were up to the usual standard!
Loved the atmosphere and music. Drinks were lovely but slighty overpricedwhich i didnt mind so much as its a lovely place would be great for there to be a second hakamou or for them to move to a bigger location as it is very small and can get very busy
Great drinks, a quirky menu which doesn't explain everything in the drink but enough to create intrigue. The menus were in a state, which is understandable as they get wet but they were a little hard to read on places.
First visit to Leicester on a night out. Team bonding. No Dj to man the playlist. Couldn't change the music and constant poor customer service. A party of 12 people unable to enjoy what looked to be an amazing bar with a fantastic set up.
Always far too busy, and I really hope that they use the innards of the pineapples that they give you cocktails in, otherwise that's a crazy amount of waste for no reason. Otherwise a decent place if a bit sticky.
If your looking for properly the best cocktails in Leicester then try here not the cheapest and always busy but you can have a great night and the music is perfect if your a little older.
A great tiki bar, which is made so much better by the care and attention that has clearly gone into the interior design, the cocktail recipes and the menu itself. The menu walks you through the range of cocktails available, from the classic tiki drinks the piña colada in a coconut is a particular favourite of mine to mocktails designed for the designated driver or your friend who doesn't drink. The sharers round the selection out - anything between a £10, two-pint choice and the £135 concoction that quite literally comes in a kitchen sink. If you order that last one, you get your name on the board! The bar is nicely laid out; there's an upstairs, which I must confess I've never really explored adequately, but the downstairs is deceptively large, housing several tables as well as a small dance floor. If you arrive early enough you'll be able to get table service from one of the bar staff, since things start fairly quietly and make having a quiet cocktail with a few friends a breeze. If you're there later, things get busy pretty quickly: 9pm seems to be the point at which things go from being fairly relaxed to pretty hectic, with the bar staff doing a brilliant job of keeping up. All in all, if you're looking for a quirky venue in Leicester and you want to sip a cocktail with an umbrella in your hair, this is a great place to do it!
Terrible sickly sweat pre-mixed cocktails. The music is awful. One star added because the staff kept the plane tidy despite all the drunken chaos. I will not return.
