Here you can enjoy the different choices of Yemeni Arab Peninsula dishes such as Mandi, Kabsah, Fahsa, Grilled Fish and much more including breakfast dish

Story

The origin of Yemeni cuisine goes back to the two important powers in the ancient world: Sheba and Himyar, which controlled the rich trade in frankincense, myrrh and the spices that were brought from India and beyond. Through the ancient years, the South Arabian merchants entered the spices trade which led to developing a tasty cuisine such as Mandi, Kabsah and Mathbee dishes. Throughout the years this became one of the most influential kitchens in the Arab Peninsula, and has spread massively in the Middle East, Africa, and South East Asia centuries ago. In recent decades it grew in America, Australia and some parts of Europe.
The growing population of overseas students in Manchester, especially from Saudi Arabia, other Arab countries and South East Asia, triggered the idea of establishing a Yemeni/ Arab peninsula kitchen in Greater Manchester in 2010. During studying the potential market, we were astonished by the number of multicultural communities around us, who were familiar with this kind of kitchen but were waiting for this service to be provided. This gave us the absolute confidence and reassurance that the market will not be dependent on the overseas students but instead has a massive local market demand.
Today; we brought this rich kitchen to the famous road in Manchester known as “the curry mile”.
At Hadramout restaurant Manchester (named after the great city Hadramout), you can enjoy the different choices of Yemeni /Arab Peninsula dishes such as Mandi, Kabsah, Fahsa and much more including breakfast dishes.

A hidden gem in Manchester. High quality food, amazing flavour and good portion sizes. Amazing service and comfy seating. Great place to relax as well.Recommended dishesLamb Soup, Shredded Lamb with Vegetables, Lamb Mgalgal, Mandi Lamb
Best authentic Yemeni food. Friendly and helpful staff. Ideal for families. Upstairs is a traditional Arabic seating. As far as I know, it's the only restaurant that serves liver. My recommendations are: محمر لحم، محمر دجاج، وكبدة.
The staff are friendly. The food is not bad but no authentic. Utilities could use some more attention. Value for the money is not matched. Overall you won't regret spending time there but I wouldn't be a regular there. Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and appreciated.
Food is tasty but portion sizes are tiny for extortionate prices. A small bowl of Masoub / Areeka for £6? When I say small, its tiny. I have a lot of Yemeni friends and they are known for hospitality and having a big heart but this place its losing its mark for money unfortunately
A decent place for Mandi. The meat is really tasty and fresh. Their soup is very nice. However I have had better Mandi elsewhere. The restaurant looks abit tired and needs a refurbishment. It’s alright if you want a little change but nothing ‘amazing’ flavour wise just average for me but my partner enjoyed it. So it depends on your taste buds. Friendly staff though. Do give it a try and see if it works for you.
we ordered these for delivery: lamb soup, the mandi lamb and the kabsah lamb. this is my first time trying Yemeni food. the mandi rice that comes with the mandi lamb is more spiced than the rice for kabsah lamb while the kabsah lamb dish is overall milder. both items are delicious in their own ways, and i would recommend them both if you are craving for succulent lamb dishes : super super generous portions for affordable prices
Very nice .. remind me of the food in my country... basic tasty dishes.. I love it. I would like to rate it higher ..but it's not offering the all menu as regular Yamnies restaurant.
Amazing food authentic Yemeni cuisine. Loved the floor seating Arabic style, adds to the whole dining experience. The soup is so good. The meat, rice and bread were all cooked really well. Couldn’t complain especially coming from a lover of Arabic food. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Tried the chicken mandi for the first time.. And it was absolutely delicious! Will certainly try the lamb one next time!!Food: 5/5
Finally something different to the typical kobedas and chicken Al fahams you get all over curry mile. The menu has new items which I will try on later visits. The prices are reasonable. The man at the coubter was very friendly and helped me through the menu. It's Yemeni cuisine which again is different to the other typical Afghan Arabic food you get all over curry mile.
