This is a hidden gem for sure. Enjoyed the breakfast, really good quality meat and eggs. Loved the artifacts and art inside the establishment. A really lovely place to come with a friend or family. Hope to call in again soon.
Brilliant little cafe on the Wirral way. Makes for a great little stop off.nThey do the best cakes and the best drinks.nWe didn't order hot food but there is always next time.
This is a lovely old railway station that's been converted into a cafe and coffee shop. There is also a small museum and they have regular pop up coffee and cakes and daytime entertainment.nnOn our last visit, there were Morris Dancers performing on the platform across from the main 'booking office', the place was busy, but we did manage to get a seat inside to have some brunch.nnThe cafe itself is nice. Its a covered yard with plenty of small tables, beware though on sunny days it can get quite hot under there with little breeze and can feel like a greenhouse!nnFoodwise, there's plenty of good choice for both breakfast and lunch, and a good range of hot and cold drinks. Everything is well cooked and generous portions.
Lovely spot along the Wirral Way with an excellent cafe serving some beautiful food. Even nice just to sit down and enjoy a cup of tea. You can also go in the old station office which is like a mini museum to the station with a video discussing the place's history. The car park is only small though, so if busy you may struggle to find a spot.
A little bit of history. Harlow Road has been restored as it was when the last train went through in 1952. The restoration was completed by the local villagers and this story is available in the ticket office. There is a cafe which serves teas and light snacks. The cafe staff were lovely and friendly. Contactless payment in the cafe. The station is set in time which is what its supposed to be. Fantastic.
