Shelves piled high with treats, heaven where ever you look, very reasonably priced item, most polite staff ever and a very short wait to get in. I could not believe it especially as it was only a few days to Christmas. I will definitely be going back for a longer shop real soon. I loved it
Just one of those precious, special places where you can spend hours looking and buying. Great shop, fantastic stuff, and a place you wouldn't want to miss even if it was just during your daily walk. Nice coffee and sandwiches.
Walked up there in the rain and specifically asked for local honey. I was given some "local honey" but by the time I got home, I realised it was a "blend of non-EU" honey. This is junk produced in China that is not even real honey. I won't be using this shop again.
Wonderful shop! Lots of unusual items in the food and drink line. A real old fashioned independent grocer.
Traditional grocery shop selling range of products including cheese counter, delicatessen and coffee ground to order on the premises. Small tea shop upstairs. Part of Colchester's heritage and great to see such a traditional shop still actively part of the Crouch St scene.
3 Cheers for Gunton's! Super grocer - always ready to help and support in these difficult times. We bought 3 hampers for Christmas presents, all recipients were very pleased. Our thanks to everybody working in Gunton's.
Very helpful when I couldn't find what I wanted. My husband was wandering around while I was busy and found several items he fancied, so instead of one item, we came out with four! Lol
Wonderful products as always. Small shop so best to go at quieter times.
