A very old-established DIY shop, famous in the Keighley district. There aren't many places like this left. The staff are generally very knowledgeable and helpful. Their prices are generally very competitive, but - of course - they can never compete with the very best special offers from the big DIY chains. These days, one of their specialities is high-end wallpaper. I liked it better when the old man ran a discount wallpaper shop in part of the current premises ... those were the days! Walking through their front door is a bit like walking back to the 1980's, but there's nowt wrong wi' that IMHO! The old man, Howard Brook, shook up a lot of trades in Keighley and saved a lot of money for a lot of people ... God rest his soul.
Have been going to H brook since I can remember I think I was 10..now I am 36. Knowledgeable and friendly staff always spending time to help you. Went in out of curiosity regarding cleaning my leather chairs and Josh a friendly employee came to show me and tell me about what they had. As a store they have all the bare essentials from paints..to hardware. From garden tools to electrical and then are other stock which they get too. Like a lot of people leaving comments I would say this small yet mighty shop perhaps has the best overall customer experience from any other retailers both large and small out there.
so happy to find this place. I was in and out with what I needed within 5 mins - which would not be the case in some superstore - plus actual staff who checked exactly what I needed! I'll be a repeat customer, for sure!
Loads of wallpaper and DIY tools to chose from, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, highly recommended for all your decorating needs!
Very helpfull happy staff, they go out of there way to help you pick paint colours and wallpaper. This is my number 1 shop every time.
A store that has everything you need for interior jobs in your home,well worth a visit.
Not very professional and didn't have a lot of knowledge, didn't know what plaster paint was, time to get into 2022 it's not the 90's.
