Gwaun Vale is a family run caravan and camping site situated one and a half miles out of Fishguard. Ideal location for stopovers for the ferry to Ireland.
Gwaun Vale Caravan Park is family owned and situated at the start of the beautiful Cwm Gwaun, one and a half miles from Fishguard in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
The pitches have electric hook ups and are level with excellent views of the surrounding countryside.
There is a small play area, a laundry, 2 sinks to wash dishes as well as toilets and free hot showers. There is a small shop on site with basic supplies, including gas cylinders. Dogs are welcome and we have a separate area to exercise them.
The park is small and friendly and is an excellent base to explore the area. We keep a supply of brochures and maps describing what is available in the surrounding area. It is very convenient for the Irish Ferry for those who are travelling further or would like to enjoy a day trip.
There is a small friendly pub only five minutes walk away where you can enjoy a bar meal in a countryside setting. Alternatively enjoy an evening at the caravan park with a barbecue, watching the sun set behind the hills.
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is an ideal setting for anyone who enjoys walking or just sitting and taking in the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding countryside. Watch the cormorants as they dive into the sea or listen to the gulls as they follow the many sailing boats. Porpoises and dolphins are regular visitors and nothing can compare with the sight of grey seals and their young pups.
