Excellent service from Sales Executive Chris Allen who was polite, professional, highly knowledgeable and a very pleasant helpful chap - I drove a hard bargain but Chris was very accommodating.

Parts supplied by Guy Salmon but fitted by another garage? Don't expect a warranty if part is faulty, because they won't give one! Lousy after sales Land Rover.

Update: After 6 weeks and following an intervention from Land Rover UK, a replacement sunroof was fitted f.o.c. to my Freelander 1 by Guy Salmon. Work done to a high standard so delighted with the outcome. It shouldn't have been this difficult to get a faulty part dealt with under warranty though. Suggests more training needed for staff short on experience?

Taking my car for a service is probably not the most exciting thing on my "to do list ". However taking it to Guy Salmon Knutsford definitely softens the blow! The reminders of the booking and assurance of a loan car are invaluable. Nina , who guides me through the whole service experience ,is efficiency personified. Every question is answered with expert knowledge and further information for follow up checks are reaffirmed. I received a video link of the service which I felt was a nice touch.  From the moment you enter the showroom you are greeted with smiling faces and everyone is eager to assist. The waiting area, if needed, has newspapers, coffee and even a play area for children.
So thank you Guy Salmon , ladies on reception, the engineers and Nina in the service department for a great experience.

I am not sure if some of the other reviewers are using the same garage. I have had a great experience every time I have used this dealership. From start to finish. Very good after sales team who are committed to customer service. Would recommend.

I bought a second hand land rover from Guy Salmon in Knutsford in May 2015.

When bought I got a validation certificate to say that I was covered for various things including land rover assist and MOT for 24 months, even though the pack had said I have MOT for life!

Anyway, fast forward 6 months.  My mum was dying of cancer and I had to go to Newcastle.  It was Xmas eve and I was going to head back to Manchester for the Christmas Day, however my bonnet would not stay shut as the holding clip had broke, so I called landrover assist for help as it was not safe to drive down, only to find that I was not covered. And they were not going to help me and was willing to leave me stranded in Newcastle.   I had to fork out a lot of money to get the AA out, do a temporary repair to get me home.

When I put the car in for repair I mentioned it to sales and they were shocked so told me that they would ensure that I will get a new validation certificate from that day for 24 months.  So I got a new validation cert up to March 2018.  So I called AA and put my policy with them on hold. 

Fast forward again to last week.  I was walking the dogs, got back to the land rover only to find that the battery had died and I needed help / recovery.   Called Landrover Assist only to be told I was not covered, my policy ended March 2017 and not 2018 as stated on Validation Certificate.  I ended up getting my mother in law to come and help me as my hubby was in Germany. 

After sending evidence etc to Guy Salmon after sales team, they said it was a typo error on my certificate, and that March 2017 for the certificate stands.

Thanks for leaving me stranded twice.  I will not be using Guy Salmon again for any service nor will I recommend them to anyone.
