A lovely, inviting and unpretentious cafe and deli with an outdoor space. It is very well organised inside so it has quite a tranquil feel to it despite selling many products. Its really easy to browse for what you need. Each time I have been staff have been really tranquil and friendly. Its almost like visiting a little bit of Italy and inside feels very far away from Herne Hill. I wouldn't imagine it would be easy to get a buggy in here but I would say that the cafe would be enjoyed by children and adults. A buggy could be folded ig needed. There is a large selection of milkshakes and pastries. There is authentic foccacia which is a real treat. The hot chocolate I had here was absolutely delicious. The whole shop smells delicious really! I'll definitely be back just before a school pick up and judging by the amount of customers visiting both times I went so will others.
Herne Hills best keep secret. Food is delicious and its a perfect place for lunch, brunch or some me time. They also have a lovely garden at the back.
Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Gusto has everything from toasted focaccias, fresh bed, prepared quiches to eat in or take away. The cannelloni soup of the day is the best soup I’ve had in London! Staff are always friendly. This is also a nice place to stock up your cupboards with treat food from cheeses and meats to proper Italian pasta, olive oil and biscuits
Don't get the breakfast! The beans are raw straight from the can the mushrooms aren't cooked the bread wasn't buttered. The owners response..... I'll do better next time! That will be £12 please!
This family run restaurant is wonderful. They give all their passion and energy to make it a great experience for their customers. The owners work there daily and care greatly about the standard of everything. I love them!
I love it here! I am a teacher at the primary school opposite and I always come in when I can get the chance , for a delicious oat milk mocha / americano and a panini to take back to school. It’s always so good even though they’re always soooo busy they never forget a thing . also if you like Italian ingredients , drinks , cakes , condiments etc you can buy them to take away . Hope this place lasts forever as it’s a life line for a tired and hungry teacher !!!!

The owner is a horrible rude obnoxious man. Very odd behaviour. Other staff are very friendly especially the Italian lady. But that man is awful. Otherwise a really nice little Italian cafe with nice food and lovely back garden
This is the best cafe in Herne Hill for working and studying and meeting people in. They have lots of tables inside and out both in front and in the garden at the back and there is wifi. During the morning a lot of the customers get takeaways so there are usually tables available. It gets busier around lunch time. The coffee and smoothies are very nice and very reasonably priced and they have the biggest range of sandwich fillings and breads and savoury lunch options in Herne Hill as far as I have found. They also sell a wide range of high quality continental deli and grocery produce but I haven't tried any of those yet. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and it is a family run business which makes a change from chains. If you want to work or study I recommend making sure your device is charged as only one indoor and one outdoor table are near plug sockets and it is a small business so I prefer to charge at home when I remember!.
Really lovely, honest cafe - delicious, truly Italian products, at a very reasonable price, in a lovely peaceful interior with friendly owners that made us feel so welcome.
