I work with adults with learning disabilities every time we have come to the cafe the staff are wonderful, extremely helpful and considerate to their needs. Fantastic job.

Terrible quality of food, small rooms the internet connection is limited, and most of the time you can't even connect to the wifi. If you are a student and you are trying to find a cheap accommodation think twice. You gonna regret it very soon.

I used to live there during my work placement at the local University. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. No Internet access to basic rooms. Limited to no speed at the ensuit ones. The staff was lovely and helpful, but unfortunately the DSS people are running everything. Drugs and alcohol was a daily standard.

So brilliant. Food is always excellent (a bit slow sometimes, but fair enough!), prices are exceedingly reasonable, and the people are all lovely. It's fun to eat at the YMCA!

Wish I could put no stars. Lived here for 1 year for Uni and I had a threat of bed bugs, food poisoning four times, the police were called nearly every day, drug dealers, guns found and the smell of weed in my room every day. The weed was due to the room under me smoking it, even though this was meant to be a 'dry house' and we weren't even allowed a small amount of alcohol. One member of staff refused to give me my key and then went on to throw it at me, after I had been out all night at work. However, some of the staff on reception were helpful and kind. The food from the cafe was a disgrace. I had food poisoning 4 times from raw chicken within the dishes. When i reported this issue, the person I spoke with made no changes, and went on to accuse me that I didn't get food poisoning from the cafe, even though i have picture proof. Other residents are very rude and violent too. Never stay here, its a disgrace.
