This was a great station for arrival, with an ancient Tudor bridge linking the platforms via walkway! Platforms are well sized for the trains, departure boards are up to date and cleanliness was maintained. Entrance is easily accessible, station canopy is nice albeit a bit worn down.
A good town to visit but a bit further from the seaside.
Very small train station with limited facilities, at the night main waiting area remains closed. Outside car/ bike cycle parking facilities are there but limited spots. Town is beautiful old town , one mark place nicely organised.
There is only one toilet which requires a pin pad entry. If there isn't anyone at the desk to give you the code then you're out of luck. This station needs ticket barriers so that proper toilets can be installed.nnGiven this station handles 6 carriage trains every hour, toilet facilities which you can walk right into as you would surely expect in 2026? should be standard.nnMost people are travelling 1+ hours past Doncaster.... they are going to want to use the toilet before getting on the train!
It's OK you have to go out of town for anything like a good clothing shop. Not a lot here. A lot of empty shops. It's a shame really
