Went there today for a Birthday lunch for our Son. The service was great and even though they don't have coffee on their menu they made us 3 mugs of coffee to have with the food. Overall the food was very good and the Burger that my Son had was amazing. It had a bit of everything in between the bun. Looked and tasted , in his opinion, really great. I had the full rack of ribs which were very nice and really well cooked. We will visit again
Some of the best BBQ food I've had in the UK! I needed to be rolled away afterwards!! The service was slow considering there was more staff than customers.
If I could give it a 0/5, Grillstock would get it. Service was fine, but the food was cold apart from the wings we had a starter. What a let down... As nice as the food looked, it was ALL COLD. Misled by Londonist review of this place, as well as the 4/5 review on Google. Maybe it's because we visited on a Wednesday and no one was there? No check back to our table either, they didn't ask if we enjoyed our food when giving us the bill... Maybe they had an idea we'd unload our feelings?! Fair play to Sunday - the waitress who entertained my disdain as I left the restaurant. She wanted an honourable mention
There is no parking around here until after 9:30pm and this was on a Sunday, hence the place was empty the staff said it's getting worse and there worried about there jobs, waltham forest is killing all of the businesses in the area with it new parking restrictions the food was okay average, a bit like harvester
The atmosphere is pretty cool, the food are good too but some are overpriced, am not sure if they cook some of their dishes in the restaurant maybe they precooked their chicken before reheating them before serving. I guess this is due to the smoking process for the tast. Overall it was grate.
Amazing food, great value, superb staff
I wanted to like this place more than I did. I'm a big fan of American style barbecue and I was excited about eating here. The food was so so and the poor servers were massively understaffed. Had to ask for my bill twice as we'd clearly been forgotten and the waitress got a bit snippy on the second asking. That said it's well priced and the food and cocktails aren't bad. You can do worse I just wouldn't have high expectations.
Won't be back. It wasn't extremely busy and still it took more than 15min for someone to actually take the drinks order. Staff standing around and finally noticing. They still seem unsure who is responsible for our table. Once ordered it took another 15min to get the drinks. Value is good, quality average.
Great service thanks, Alice, good burgers for the price, good portions and a pretty varied menu. Beer was priced okay, but more draught would have been nice. They play pretty good music too, and I thought the decor was fine unlike some of the other reviewers.
Great food and that includes the veggie Mushroom & Mac Stack. Great cocktails too as well as a great beer and cider selection.
