Slipped in for lunch today. Was going to just have a baguette, but couldn't resist the steak and mushroom pudding. I am so glad I did. It was delicious, nice thick proper suet outer filled with succulent steak and plenty of it, mushrooms and rich gravy. I was full after. We are planning a Sunday visit but might need to forgo breakfast to do that justice. A hidden gem. Fabulous welcome and great service.
My wife and I popped into this lovely country pub for a Sunday roast. I have to say we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic and the staff are extremely friendly and welcome. We will certainly be coming back and can not recommend this place enough.
Paul was a marvellous host. Not just because he's a fabulous chef, but because he takes the time to converse with you to make sure your experience is the best it can be. My choice was the T-bone 16oz there is a larger one if you're really famished. It was sooo... tasty. I couldn't recommend this establishment higher. You'll see when you visit. Enjoy.

A lovely old traditional pub. A log fire made it very cozy. The Menu is on a blackboard because unlike most pubs it regularly changes! just as it should be! the food is cooked by an excellent chief who clearly is very proud of what he serves! He also welcomed us to the pub my wife said her haddock was the best that she has ever had. High praise indeed! We have had a good few!. I went for the beef stew it was perfect!. Hearty winter food! There was a good choice of fish, steaks and vegetarian meals available. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting all the best things about eating out to visit. Book ahead to avoid disappointment! Big thanks to the wonderful team there.

Excellent food served here. Friendly service. Good choice of fresh fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. Lots of steaks to choose from. Very good value for money. Very friendly staff and customers. Highly recommended. Steak night is such good value for money. My son said the steaks were better than Miller and Carter.
We had Sunday lunch with friends which was amazing. More than ample amount of food, all delicious. And amazing apple pie and custard. Gorgeous pub and made very welcome. Thanks
An absolutely fantastic pub! The landlord Paul not only gave us the warmest of welcomes but served us up a delicious lunch and top notch pint of ale. Couldn't recommend more highly.
First time me & my husband have been here for a pub lunch .. So welcoming, food is great as well as the portion size ~ just lovely !! .. Well worth a visit if you’re ever passing or just looking for somewhere nice & relaxing. Will definitely be visiting again !!!
