Usually love a Greggs tuna baguette but I was just half way through one and saw that whoever made it had pressed their chewing gum into the baguette. Absolutely disgusting! Avoid this branch at all costs!Food: 1/5
Love the sausage rolls. Just wish I could get a dash of tomato sauce to go with it. It's hard to get cheap hot food in London on the go, and this totally ticks the box for me. Actually I've never had anything other than the sausage roll from Greggs. I have always been satisfied with them and never wanted to try anything else. Greggs is becoming a UK institution, providing cheap good food to Britain. If only there were more of them, especially with this cost of living crisis. The staff were super friendly. It was pretty warm in here and I felt sorry for the lady behind the counter as it was a humid summer's day. There's a few public seating bits in front of the store and it is a pleasant thoroughfare. This store is convenient if you are on the southern end of Covent Garden. If you've never been to a Greggs, I do recommend it!
while my visit to London I stop by after I saw their sign outside saying they have vegan options. as I went in, many of the vegan options were missing and the only thing available was the sausage roll and the potato fries. the roll did have a meaty taste, maybe a bit too meaty as I was turned off by how much it tasted like chicken but I know some people gonna like it. the place mostly offers junk food so not sure if it's the best place to stop for healthy lunch as a vegan.
The service and the pastie i had was good! It's the cheapest place in London to get a bite to eat and have a coffee. No WiFi in store .
Sausage rolls are excellent but some of the workers are so rude! Teach customer service please!!! The old ladies are wonderful however! Just the younger ones, this morning at 8am, 13th October! Terrible
Can’t fault the food we had today, it was nice as always in any Gregg’s. But I can honestly say it’s the most disgusting place I’ve ever eaten in. Filthy tables and floors. Staff constantly reminding us and everyone that they were closing soon and we had to be out.
I would like to thank Samantha and the staff at 143 The Strand branch, she was so friendly and helpful ensuring we got crispy bacon and interested in our visit to London- we really appreciated her friendliness and the other staff were all smiling and friendly too - thank you all.
As with any Gregg's, you know what you'll be getting, good valued food with a good range of drinks also available. Prices have gone up quite a bit recently but they are still a lot cheaper than anywhere else.
Just went here for a quick bite, but definitely not recommendable. Only nice thing about this place is the fact that they have vegan options. Other than that, better spend your money on a proper sandwich from the local supermarket or something.
The attitude of one of the workers is appalling and manages to ruin people’s day with her disgusting attitude; Theresa. She has been repeatedly rude to many customers, screaming at people to get out of the way, leave the shop, called me stupid, given my friends dirty looks for ordering a breakfast item at midday then proceeding to insult the customer under her breath, has called approached and verbally attacked customers who’ve sat in the cafe after order to take away in this specific anecdote, the customers did not speak english, and were very confused when she tried to kick them out the cafe. She showed no remorse for her actions. She humiliated a customer who couldn’t quite decide what to order by giving them dirty looks, and looking round questioningly at other customers. She then spoke badly about this customer to those waiting in-line, while he was still in the cafe waiting for his coffee. One day she even shouted at customers for standing in the shop and kicked me out of the shop for waiting with my friend to get her drink. Overall she has just been awful, cannot stand this woman. She should be sacked for bad attitude, remarkable lack of respect for others, and upsetting other bystanders who just feel sorry for the victims of her character.
